Looking great! Can't wait to use them in game.

A cop is no good if he refuses to lay down his life for the safety of others

I have a great idea! Let them finish the cops first then we can ask for something else.

Bummer that is a shame, however I'd rather you work at them some more to eliminate the largest of the bugs/glitches with the extra time you have set your self.

Cheers.

evanscornelius, are you going to make LSPD peds? Please make them as soon as possible. I really like them! Thank you very much

Yes i will be doing them also

I added the normal and spec maps, i'm gonna reinstall gta iv and see if it's my enb...lol

What i did was make a new upper texture with the mic and patch added into it. Then i attached the patch to the shirt and then remapped the whole thing.

You'll need to convert the spec and normal maps to GTA IV's format for them to work correctly.  The normals have to be the purple colour and the spec maps have to be greyscale.  Check my archive for examples.

You should focus on the female cop peds since they're something we haven't really seen perfected in gta iv yet.

trewq34 kindly supplied me with the male and female LSPD peds.  Here's the female one rendered in 3dsmax (note the hair was a bit messed up so I used a hair mesh from GTA IV instead):

Also, a few interesting observations for those curious:

  • The LSPD badge is an actual model mesh now (same with the name plate)
  • The textures are still 256x256

OK thanks, didn't know that, and smart thinking with the hair. She looks sweet, Two questions though, #1 Are you not attaching hands to head on model and textures. #2 I'm doing a ped with multi models, Have you ever attempted it and to what degree did you succeed?

Nope, I attach the hands to the head on the models.  That's how it should be done and the SAHP one I posted above has two different head models.

What two different model uniforms, or you just used one.

I really wish there was a way for the nightstick to swing back and forth when the cop walks. That would just be fricken awesome!

That's a good idea. I can take the nightstick and replace it with the bat and use it as a weapon.

It'd be really nice yeah.  I think the only way to do it would be by making it an object and attaching it to the player with a script to simulate the movement.

Well what do you mean by a ped with multiple models?

Like for instance, you have the female cop that comes with two upper models, a long sleeve and a short sleeve shirt. Or the sheriff that i'm doing whiach has longsleeve, shortsleeve, and vest. Two lower and three head models. Also what did you do about the fingers

Yeah, the SAHP one I posted has two different head models (head_000 and head_001).

I didn't touch the fingers, they take far too much time to sort out!

Ok, i didn't bother with the finger either, But i've successfully did a multi model ped.Two pant two shirts two heads. Now you' ll be able to switch between them

Damn straight, im still waiting for the finished version of the SAHP officers, which the first thing i did was improve the badge, match the shirt wt the pants and take away that weird blue band on his wrist

Is this the same model as 0_0.jpg?

And will you add  0_0.jpg?
