Is it possible to make the Police2 the exact same vehicle as the Police1? I tried to just change the file to Police2, but when I get into the game, the car doesn't spawn and my game crashes. When I add a vehicle that is already set to Police2, it works perfectly fine.

If you do that, the POLICE vehicle will still be trying to spawn which would crash the game.

 

Extract the POLICE wft and wtd to your desktop or where ever and rename it to POLICE 2 and then insert it back into vehicles.img

Yeah, it's much easier & practical to just use the same .wft & .wtd files for both POLICE & POLICE2.

 

One thing, don't forget to change your handling.dat, & vehicles.dat, file lines accordingly (since you're putting the model intended for POLICE in POLICE2, replace POLICE2's lines with POLICE's lines in both handling.dat & vehicles.dat).

Also, always make backups, just in case

If you want, you can copy the handling lines and such to be sure it is handling like the same vehicle.

yeah but shouldn't the car itself be optimized for the spot. because for example if I wanted to change a noose to a police2 I cant just change the name because its not optimized for the spot.
