January 18, 201214 yr Most cops do not have drop leg holsters. Maybe elsewhere in the country, but I've never seen them in person on the East Coast. Those pics were LAPD SWAT officers in a movie. Also, many cops (including all NYPD officers I've seen who are not in ESU) wear vests under their shirts. Also, I've never seen a cop in a "tactical" vest who is not part of an SRT (the vests I see tend to blend in nicely with the uniform). most cops around here have drop llegs, and there are some uniformed swat officers(swat officers wearing regular police uniforms) and ik its a movie but im sayin that would be a nice change. most nypd officers iv seen have drop legs and ik not all are esu alot of officers will eather have a taser on drop leg and pistol on the side incase their taser gets taken they can still take down the threat, atlesat thats waht they've told me. sounds like a safety reason to me and also its easier to get 2 ur hands already naturally fall around ur thigh so its a quicker weapon draw. theres an advantage Edited January 18, 201214 yr by ESU_Boxer
