Where's that from, I've never seen it before?

It's a side mission for Franklin or Trevor, like a stranger mission. Forgot which one for. The LSPD are after a celeb and you have to snap a picture of the arrest. Only time the cops actually arrest a ped cuz at other times they shoot 'em dead.

Gotta be for that paparazzo...

The scene is scripted, isn't it? But I think it would have been possible to make them do that in free roam, it's basically just like in GTA IV just with "holding hands-" like animations and the cuffing and the door.

Of course I don't really have an idea how all that actually works so I don't mean to presume

Btw, that haircut is really starting to grow on me (xD I didn't even intend that pun) :D :D

It kinda reminds me of a somewhat silly 70. cop show :D

I don't think so. It looks like one animation as a whole so should there be objects in the wrong place, the guys would probably go through them. Kind of like the 'bonnet' arrest for GTA IV.

Well, people in GTA: SA and AC: Unity (I know it hasn't been released yet but there's a video with the devs explaining it) can hold hands too.

So it's just like a normal walk animation just with more space, technically, and when stuff is in the way, well, you know what happens when you can't open any of your car doors, magic time :D

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

xD Sorry

I mean when both back doors are blocked, the suspect just gets teleported like when you're exiting a car which doors are blocked

Ah, right. I get it now.

What I'm saying though is that it's probably out of the question to use the exact animation from the mission. Unless you had a lot of space from what it seems. About holding the perps, I dunno. Maybe, that's anybody's guess.

Well, it doesn't really need that much more space than the arrests in GTA IV, if the suspect turns around so there's enough space for the officer to cuff him it should be possible

Oh but it's more than that. The cop does an animation where he walks to the chick and chats her up, then helps her up, cuffs her and walks her to the car all in one iirc.

I've never seen the scene.

I'm talking about the cuff animation, the "escort" animation and the car placement animation

It really does look very strictly scripted.

Also, the way the cops walk as very unlike like they normally walk.

But I still think it the 3 animations could be used, maybe with slight changes

Gotta find a way to piece it first. There seems to be no transitions what-so-ever once it's on.

Yeah, maybe it's not possible for modders but for R* it shouldn't be to piece it.
