Why doesnt LCPDFR show controls anymore?

Featured Replies

A week ago I redownloaded LCPDFR after not paying for like a month and I noticed the font is different and it doesn't show controls like what key or button does what during a traffic stop. Am I just gonna have to remember or can I fix this in the ini?

You can change what key does what in the INI (modifier keys as well, so you can start LCPDFR with Ctrl-P now if you feel so inclined) but they phased the control menu out in 1.0 for the quick-action menu last I'd read. However, typically it shows what key does what when the context requires.

If you want the latest version with the key list in the shift-tab menu still in it, >0.95RC2 is over here.

The keys for LCPDFR 1.0 are listed as said above in the INI file. They're also in a forum post by Sam here ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>), or as a PDF document by gtapolicewinthrop here: ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>). As to why they are removed, I have no idea. I'm not bothered by it really, they're not that hard to remember. Atleast not the important ones. I always have the control list in the SteamOverlay if I am unsure.

What I always did was wrote all the keys down and hung it up next to the monitor or set it on the side of the monitor. I just have to take a quick glance at what key I need to use. It's kinda nice.

Or you could make it easy and print the keys out.
