Yeah, I agree. I still just like the old fashioned non-ELS vehicles. The more big mods I have installed, the slower my game runs. I dont think it is really neccesary.

Nice thread :)

I wish more would make non ELS, maybe we would get some cars looking as good as the ELS cars.

Yeah, I know. Sometimes non-ELS just isn't considered, and other times people are pressured by their audience into ELS mapping. I mean, if ELS didn't crash my game every fifteen minutes, sure, I would use it. But I think there's still something to be said about non-ELS vehicles.

This thread is going to die :(

els v8 has no major bugs anymore like closed car doors or no damage. Everyone will start to use ELS now.

I feel otherwise. Not all of us can use ELS v8 because it crashes our computers every 10-15 minutes. They may have fixed the cars, which i love, but we still cant use it.

To be honest, even if i could use it, i am not sure i would. It looks nice, but unless you are going to be doing multiplayer sessions or recording your patrols, i feel there is just no need to further strain an already taxed system. I'll be sticking with non-els.

Bad news. Since gtapolicemods has gone down, most of the mods are unusable, so until the database comes along, this thread needs shrinking.

Also, many mods have mysteriously gone missing from here, so someone needs to update this thread.

It's been three years, but I'm back again...

This seems to be the last surviving easily searchable bank of lore friendly and/or non-ELS cars. As someone getting back into LCPD:FR now and then, I found I preferred the stock game feel (no fancy ENB, ELS, tons of scripts etc).

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Searching sites like the gta gaming archive (gtagaming.com), gtainside, , don't work too well and even on LCPDFR.com I've had little luck digging them up.

Hence a quick note on how to use this archive for less tech savvy users:

For gta4-mods.com links: Search the GTA Gaming Archive at https://gtagaming.com/

For GTAPoliceMods links: Although quite a lot of GTAPoliceMods links were archived (https://web.archive.org/web/*/gtapolicemods.com/*) due to the nature of the forum software the files weren't archived.

For LCPDFR.com links / embeds (you'll see a big white box)

  1. Go to page 1 of the thread
  2. Copy an entire vehicle name from the list, e.g. Coquette | Tom H | Unmark
  3. Right click anywhere, and hit "View page source"
  4. Press CTRL + F (Find in page) in the source page and paste the vehicle name. Hit Enter / scroll the results a few times until you see an entry with a URL right next to it.
  5. Click this URL. A new tab with the intended embed will open. You can now click the "Download this file" button to view the mod.

Great idea on the links. I will try and fix some of the internal LCPDFR.com broken embeds.
