Probably just had the most stable playing experience

I was having issues with getting the "Disregard" messages quite a bit. Someone suggested I try the preload all models in the .ini so I did. It seems to run a lot better now and I don't get disregarded nearly as much now. I still don't have much luck getting the Mugging calls though.

Just played for close to an hour and didn't have any crashes from lcpdfr or policehelper. I was really shocked. It was running quite stable and I was getting world events from the policehelper without it crashing. That's the only time I can think of that I was able to play more than 10 minutes without one of them getting an error.

Ended up getting into a pursuit with a motorcycle. The dude was flying and I had trouble keeping up with him. Called in air support and he basically kept toying with all the units...He'd go on side streets, go in a couple of circles. It got to the point where he'd go on side streets and seemed to slow up enough to where I was right on him, he was even slowing up at the red lights. All the sudden he turns on a good straight-away and just opens it up. It really seemed like he was messing with the units. I got tired of his antics even though it was a really fun chase and called for a roadblock. He tries to go toward the freeway but they set up the roadblock at the entrance to it...He ended up smacking the roadblock and flew off his bike to end the chase. I didn't see him hit it though, I just pulled up on it and he was on the ground. I wish I would've seen him hit it.

Overall, without a doubt, my best experience yet with 1.0a. I'm really looking foward to their next fix for it so it's quite a bit more stable and hopefully we get some extra calls. Seems like there isn't much variety in the calls.

Hey thanks for the tip! Trying that now..

If you don't mind me asking, what's that?

It probably preloads the models! :D

I think the game loads all the necessary models for LCPDFR during the games' start-up process, rather than loading them with every call-out, and then disposing them.

I'm not a programmer, though. Just a guess.

This will be good to try out, definitely will do it for my next session.

As far as the callouts, that is why they implemented the API. they wanted us to get in on the fun too. Right now there are two people (publicly) working on more callouts.

I dont see this in the ini? Anyone know where to find it?

It isn't in the ini, you have to manually put it there.

PreloadAllModels = True

Just add that in your ini and save under Main. Put it under the line where it asks if you're using the PD texture mod.

Yay it really seems to work! :woot:

The game still crashes but now it takes hours instead of just minutes.
