then mage..that would require them (the dev team) to do something you could easily do yes? also, what if the cars one user has in are to their liking? then this comes along and replaces them all with shit you didn't like forcing you to replace your cars yet again. Not gonna get alot of people happy now is it?

I really don't think it'll lower the crime rate. Waste of tax money...

"We're not in the business of making money, were in the business of spending money." Just FYI.

Criminal vehicles get faster and faster, seems only fair the police get a nice rig that can too. Specs on that car are looking pretty decent I gotta say, but yeah as the article notes that's definitely giving almost a RoboCop style appearance, lol. I'm a big fan of the LED's anymore though, definitely are the kinda lights you can't possibly say you didn't see coming up behind you.

I understand replacing the Crown Vic for speed reasons but a Crown Vic can take a hell of a lot damage more than that so called police car. Police officers don't like to speed through streets as that puts people in danger. If you don't believe just watch the show COPS, when a suspect goes into a populated area such as a busy street or suburb they back off to give him room. And I am sure they wont replace it because it looks cooler.

The only reason the Police Departments are replacing the Crown Vic is because it's being retired. I was at the Fleet Division at the Department in my area and they're replacing them with Tahoe's.

the real reason about the crown being retired is that its getting old and there were a lot of accident that were cause by the rwd power train thats why they are replacing it by a fwd one and it has some option like the awd and the twin turbo charge motor. the twin is to instate the police to replace the charger

1.) This car is already available for download as a car mod for both marked and undercover units. I use it in my own videos as a replacement for the fake Impala used in GTA IV. It is essentially a heavily modified Taurus SHO.

2.) It is replacing the Crown Victoria for a number of reasons, but the chief reasons are performance and fuel economy. There are many things about the new Interceptor sedan and SUV that make them better however. I believe there is a Ford sponsored video somewhere on YouTube that shows off the new features.

3.) Depending on what city you live in, your department may decide to go with all Dodge Charger SRT's and Chevy SUV's instead of the new Ford Interceptor sedans and SUV's. I was told this by my local departments FTO.

4.) To whoever said you already saw one of these on the street; No you didn't They aren't rolling out until 2012."

5.) Lastly, just because these are being introduced, doesn't mean that Crown Victoria's are going to drop off of the face of the planet. Taurus's will mingle with them, and the CV's will disappear slowly but steadily. Remember the Chevy Caprice police cars? They struck around long after they were discontinued. Some of the less wealthy counties in the US still use them and other late 90's CV's today. That's why my personal install of GTA IV has both CV's and Interceptors in it. So I can choose whichever one I want.
