It seems that I keep seeing cops on foot patrol with their pistol in hand whether standing outside police stations or just strolling along casually. Am I the only one seeing this? 

Are you using the 1.0 hotfix? Maybe that will solve your issue? I've been seeing this as well but it hasn't bothered me much.

If you are on a traffic stop you can hit the caps lock key to bring up the menu and then select "partner regroup" button then the AI will put his weapon down.

As do I. I noticed it yesterday. Do you have ped mods? I installed some yesterday as well. Maybe a coincidence.

It happens to me too, but not that very often. Seems random. I'm also using the hotfix, but as posted it can be fixed by regrouping partners. 

They have them out before you go on duty at the police station, I'm not entirely sure why it happens though as I don't remember if they did that before installing LCPDFR.

Could it be linked to the ``show taser on model`` line in the ini? Anyone tested that by setting it to false? (DON'T beat me with a stick, it's just a suggestion)

I tried that but I only noticed my AI partner putting away his gun. Maybe I haven't paid much attention to the other cops in the area.

Yeah, I noticed that too. 0.95 didn't do that before going on duty and I occasionally see some cops with their gun still drawn after a scene is cleared and some putting theirs' away.

I've noticed this too.  It didn't bother me at first but after seeing every cop with their gun out it started to bother me.  That and also the fact that it seems every cop ped model is now the fat cop.
