Improved Cops w/ 1.0

Featured Replies

Is it possible to use the improved cops model with the new 1.0? I'm able to run everything fine using default peds but would like to continue with the other ones.

It is, yes, but there's a catch.  You'd need to make sure that the ped mod you are installing does not contain any more or any less individual components than the default ped it is replacing.

For example, in the case of M_Y_COP, it has:

- 2 head models, with 3 textures each.

- 4 upper body models, with 4 individual textures.

- 2 lower body models, with 2 individual textures.

- 1 hat model, with 2 textures.

- 1 glasses model, with 1 texture

Therefore, your modded ped cannot have any more or any less components than these.  If you're not quite sure what this means, I'd recommend that you leave the default peds in, and wait for us to release a fix for this.

It is possible it's just that using modded peds can cause the game to crash when entering the PD. This is not the case all the time, but it is for most people. If entering the PD crashes your game, you can download the default peds again from here. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Everything was backed up and that's what I'm using now. It's not a huge deal if I won't be able to. I'm going to attempt using the improved peds and seeing what happens I'll post back with my findings unless someone beats me to it.

---EDIT---

Ok thanks for the response Sam, wasn't sure if it was just me or if this was just how it is.

Thanks again everyone.

This is interesting as i have lots of modified peds in various forms of the game (UK police, NZ Police, LCPD Police) and none crash the game at all!

I use the trainer to teleport to the police building and end up insode it no problem... :)

Your peds probably don't add or remove components.  Modified peds are only incompatible with LCPDFR 1.0 if their model meshes are fundamentally different to the default ped models.
