Font help(Boston Police)

Featured Replies

I have been searching for over an hour and i have not been able to find the font used on the new Boston Police Caprice and Explorers. Even the newer Crown Vics sport it. Anyone have an idea what it is?

Furtura Black was the old Boston Police font, it has changed in the last few years to something new. Not sure what though, sorry

In all likeliehood, it's not an actual font, but simply a design. I would work more on finding something similar, and then replicating what you see.

Yeah, your best bet is to find a font that looks exactly like it, and just add the little cut outs to the B and P

Edit -

I would try and find a picture that was taken as head on to the lettering as possible, then throw it in photoshop and tweak some fonts until it matches about right.

Just modify a current font. Use something close, type out 'Boston Police', italicize it, convert it to a layer, and then you can make the cut outs using the eraser tool or the selection tool or whatever.
