Hey everyone I was thinking about designing a driving course and possible a firing range in GTAIV. First of all I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the airplanes in-game at the airport so I can use the runway for the driving course. Also does anyone know where I can find the concrete barrier found below in trainer (the name of it).

 

 

Also any ideas of in game objects that can be used for a firing range?

to remove the airplanes in game is in the trainer. as far as the barriers go, best guess would be to explore the objects selection within the trainer. not to sound like a d-bag but those are your most simple solutions. best wishes my friend

Open trainer> Options> first or second page> turn on/off airplanes!  Hope that helps!

Okay thanks themanwiththeplan I'll check that out and guess I'll just have to explore those objects even though there is a ton of them. Although I think I may have an idea of where that barrier is.

for the barriers, is there not an option where you can shoot one then copy last damaged item?

Everything I have spawned so far is solid and unmovable/destroyable. Will have to experiment...

 

Just a little heads-up: You do realise that you can't save the objects in-game right? They'll be there for one session, then you would have to rebuild everything again.

You can save objects under the objects menu there is something called "save to objects.ini" you can then give this out to anyone they put it in the main directory and then they press "load from objects.ini".

Huh, that never worked for me... but I must have done something wrong. Need to check that out, thanks for posting this. Learn something new everyday :) 

Okay yeah so I found the disable planes option and that was simple enough. Also I successfully made the driving course on the runway which I can load each time I enter the game. Basically to load it you go to objects menu > more objects menu (bottom option on 2nd column) > save/load object file (Like you can design a course and save it to load in a different session).

 

Still haven't located items that can be used in a firing range though. Oh well guess I just gotta keep searching the objects list.
