What I mean is, you said the logs are from "the moment the PC was fired up till the problem occured, and then the events that occured once I powered up again to retrieve the logs." To me it looks like you only included the last part, but forgot to include the part from starting to the problem occuring.

Okay, try this one:

Thanks

Nah, never ever had to use one and I don't plan on it. If I can't find a solution, I'll RMA the card instead.

Well, it still says "Unexpected shutdown before", so to me it still looks like it's the log from after the restart.

But at the bottom of the report there are the following entries:

Windows is starting up.

Which is displayed at 16/12/2013 17:59:08

The reboot error says

The previous system shutdown at 18:09:03 on ‎16/‎12/‎2013 was unexpected.

The date is after the event that shows the startup, meaning it occurred afterwards and the events prior to the shutdown error are indeed the ones that happened before the reboot.

Okay, so I've just found something interesting. I've downloaded OCCT (A stress tester) that has options to test the GPU and the PSU seperately.

Upon launching the GPU test, it runs with no problems at all for over 5 mins until I manually chose to end it.

However, the PSU test causes the PC to reboot as soon as I click the start button.

This also makes sense, the PSU forcing the PC to restart would mean that there would be no logs.......

Ah yes, I missed that due to the short timespan. Well, you could post the Applications event log, maybe that reveals something (the nvidia driver especially). But it's really weird Windows doesn't show any information. I suspect it's either the PSU or the GFX then.

Edit: Yeah, that makes sense then. Try changing the PSU.

Is that also located in the event viewer?

I won't be able to try a new PSU till after christmas.. a little short of money atm lol..

There isn't any risk in continuing to use the PSU is there?

No there is not, but that is the evidence for a PSU problem, since any other kind of problem probably would have been logged.

Well, in fact, there is, I would try to avoid playing games for now. Otherwise you might end up having to buy a new GFX too...

Yeah, I'll just stick to internet browsing and light load tasks from now on.

Thanks for your help.
