Look around more. I would suggest instead of saying, "all cvpis suck" create a topic saying what you are looking for in a Crown Victoria model and maybe a talented modder will make it! I can tell ya' that not all CVPIs on this site are the best but there are a few out there that might fit your taste.

 

I would suggest taking a look at Cj24's work because he has made some exceptional Crown Victoria models. There is all Deco(Tim98), he has created some amazing Crown Victorias as well as many other nice models.

not that im dogging any of the modelers on this site. or the cvpi vehicle. it is by far my favorite. and i do appreciate all the time they put in to modeling. pretty much why skimp on the cvpi but make outstanding chargers or impalas?

i wish i could, i dont know how to do it. ive tried and i just cant figure it out. trust me i wish i could figure it out. id make the badest cvpi out.

 

i mean like you see chargers/impalas with like gps/laptops/cuffs hanging from the rear veiw/shotguns n m4s in the center console, nice detailed interiors. but then you get to the crown vic and its always just so blah, boring. nothing ever. sucks really.

 

Not even my cruiser has a shotgun or M4. Definitely no cuffs hanging from the rearview, those stay on my belt.

 

Perhaps all the CVPI modelers are going for realism?

Not a lot of people get to drive around with an AR or Shotgun in the car.

 

Besides, i seriously doubt that you've had the time to search through EVERY cvpi model that's been released.

I don't think anyone has the time for that.

 

keep looking! you'll find what you're after eventually i'm sure

If you're tired of CVPI's then use other countries police vehicles and make your own matching textures for them. As far as I know none of the european countries use the CVPI, just find a nice car which you like and replace the texture to one of your matching ones. It's really that simple!

No one is forcing you to use the CPVI's. If you don't like it, don't use it.

It all comes down to the way you phrase your statement.  It's generally not a good idea to say "why do all .....  suck" especially when a lot of guys have a lot of hours invested in their work.  There's a lot of stuff out there in the community I don't think is great ,but I'm not going to insult people like that.  It's always better to provide constructive criticism so that people can make their mods better and focus on specific things that they can improve.  Also keep in mind that there are many more CVPI's that have been made by more experienced guys that are not here on LCPDFR. 

 

Just FYI, I'm working on some CVPI models using EVI's newer CVPI.  It uses a nice quality interior and I've put a lot of work into equipment, I think people will be impressed with these models.  I'm aiming to make a balance of real and fictional models.  We're just working out some small bugs now.

If it's the model you don't like, the D:SF one for example, I dunno I think it looks pretty accurate.

There's over 500 different CVPI's on the GTA IV modding sties, look around not just on LCPDFR but other sites too, and if you can find anything. Make something your self, instead of saying 'all CVPI's suck'
