GTA IV and Youtube Help

Featured Replies

Hey guys, so I've been around lcpdfr and seen how helpful you guys can be and figured I'd just see what kind of response if I asked a question myself.

Anyways, I'm currently living overseas as a student with my family under the US government, and I'm interesting in knowing how can I gain permission from rockstar to monetize gameplay video with lcpdfr and what not. I'm just interested in a little bit of money here and there since I'm not really allowed to get a local job here (political), not to mention the language barrier lol. I'm just interested in knowing how'd I go about doing this, what I need to do etc.

Any help would be great! :D

P.S. I am aware the profit is based on viewer base and my channel isn't that popular but I plan to get it up there :p

Youtube pays video owners who are popular through Google AdSense I believe. Put R* copyright notices in your videos though and it should be fine.

Hmm so I don't need to contact rockstar at all?

This isn't a suggestion or LCPDFR.com website support request.. Moved to General & Miscellaneous Discussion

Sorry boss, I try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Well, first I'm pretty sure you need to be invited to the partner program. I got invited to it after one video got over 1,000 views. You need to sign up for Google AdSense and fill some things out. The revenue is not view based like many people believe. It's based on how many people watch and click on the ads. Obviously, this would correlate with the amount of views, but if you have 1,000 views on a video and half of them were people with AdBlock, then you're only getting possible revenue from 500 people. You can only actually receive the money when you have over $100 earned in AdSense (that's the minimum, you can change it so it transfers to your bank account at a higher amount, however). I have $0.80 sitting in there.

will, how long have you been a youtube partner? Also how many times have you been able to collect? Or has all this been very recent?

I've never been able to collect it. I've been a partner since May, but it was really just to do it, not to actually make money. I don't make videos regularly. The video that let me become a partner was a preview of a siren mod. That tends to be viewed a lot since people want to know what it sounds like before downloading it.

I believe you just have to sign a form and you'll get a partnership. Can't remmember the site but it gives anyone partnership the only con with it is that you won't earn any money what so ever. But you'll be free to post LCPD videos! :teehee:

He....probably got banned for copyright issues to other content he added in the videos (like music or something). Or if he videoed the cutscenes :p. If he included any other copyright materials in ANY other video on his channel his whole account will get banned after a while just for that one video, no matter how short or unpopular.

Youtube would warn you, I think they are still using a 3 strike system, where they will warn you and give you like 12-24 to fix the problem before another strike. And after your third strike you're account will be banned.

If your buddy said he got banned out of no where.......I'd say he's just telling 'his version' of events lol. (no offense)

You have to connect a bank account to get the money

Serg you want help with that? :p just kidding xD ahaahhaha..............
