Gtaall website

Just wondering if anyone has seen this site. Some notable authors featured on this site (without permission presumably) are KevinDV, CJ24, hilth0, EVI, ssanchez, etc. Just thought that someone should maybe look into this and seeing as I have no idea how exactly to do that. I figured I'd share this with everyone.

I have been looking on the site for the past 20mins, And that I see some files that are stolen and some are not stolen.

-Most of the Skins, Cars and Helicopters and even the Programs Are stolen

-To all members as the site has most of it's 90% files that are stolen, please don't support them by downloading files from the site.

You know, linking EVERYONE to the website in which mods are uploaded without author's permission isn't such a good idea. Though the thought is good, you can't prevent mods from being stolen and uploaded to some low grade Russian website where there is no jurisdiction. All we can do is sit back and watch as some people in Russia waste their lives away ripping others hard work from them and upload it for download with 0% respect to the original author.

Why isn't it a good idea? Why shouldn't we tell people about this? It's not like people from here are going to download the stuff from it. It can most likely be found on this website or on GTA-4-mods. I'm just getting the word out.

What I am saying is that getting the word out and telling people about another Russian website, like this, where mods are stolen and uploaded without the author's permission is fine. What is not okay is linking people to that site and even though your explicitly telling people to NOT download content from there, some people will do it anyways. I didn't browse through it too extensively but I'm going to assume there's quite a bit of stuff from well known modders such as Kevin and EVI that is uploaded there and when people find their content, which was uploaded without permission, on the site and download it, that will all come back to you linking them to the website that they may have not known about had you not mentioned and linked it. If you don't want people to download the stuff then don't link them to the download page. What you could've done is said, "Hey there's this website called and they have no regard for your hard work and they will steal and upload it on their website. Please, if your someone who does this and you are reading this, do have respect for people's creations and please do not upload it without their permission. It's quite rude and you can and will get caught for doing it".

TL;DR- Best to not link websites with stolen mods because it will tempt some people to download.

It doesn't look like a Russian website, but I don't think that many people are going to download from it and the creators of the site are pathetic for stealing mods.

Well, actually, change /en/ to /ru/, and you'll see.

Sorry to say, but there are many Russian sites with mods taken without any permission, but they will all fade away soon, because of too many ads, viruses in files and all that. Back in time, when SA modding was the most relevant, there were thousands of such crappy websites with bunch of stolen content, but only few survived.

Finally, copyright issues are a concern for a very small part of those who live in Russia. You know, like, Soviet heritage...

It's really difficult to approach the issue however. A lot of modelers can't really claim any formal copyright due to the fact their models are derivatives of existing works. However, most modding sites have a shred of decency and allow you to remove models that you have created.

If your content is on that site without your permission, I would at least ask them to take it down. They might do it.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I have to be honest here, i don't support the stolen mods...But on the other hand these kind of sites are useful if the original link for a site has been shut down.

For example if there is a site with a mod and it gets shut down and you find it reuploaded

but this is just my opinion

Problem is if the author who originally uploaded a mod to a website such as LCPD:FR and then for that author's own reasons they were to take the file down and specifically state they do not want it re-uploaded. Well the site at hand, , will just re-upload that file without said author's permission. I'm not saying the original author couldn't send the uploader of the file a message saying that they would like it taken down and I'm sure that they would get a response soon enough.

Agree, the uploading without permission part is right, just meant their good for backups if a site gets taken down
