Is it true that the GTA IV servers will be shut down on the 14th of November 2013 (in 13 days)

Game for windows live will, they will probably release server files to public.

Wow that's dirty. I thought they were going to shut it down on July 2014 next year...

Where did you find that out? I checked several websites and there is no proof that GFWL is shutting down anytime soon....

Police Clans no more? or does that mean there won't be any way to install GTAIV? cause you need GFWL to run it, don't you? it's been a long time since I had to reinstall (lol)

Damn, No GFWL, that means no more Fun. That's early then I thought it was going to be (they can't do that).

Anyone else think November 14th's a bit to harsh? I mean seriously with such little notice - they completely ignore the fact that there's still people playing the game under the ToS they bought it for.

It WOULD be harsh, if they were doing that. However, I can find literally no sources whatsoever that say ANYTHING besides "July 2014". To answer the OP's question: It's not true. They aren't.

it is to harsh there are tons of people playing that and all R* is saying '' HA now go buy GTA5''

It's a real shame, but I'm sure people will work out ways on going online without GFWL. Take FSX for example, Gamespy shut down the multiplayer servers but that doesn't stop people going online with Vatsim. 

Guys I'm pretty sure they're only shutting the marketplace down not the full GFWL. That's what I heard but I could be wrong.
