OK so last night this girl was texting me and then starting hinting to me that she wanted to and was going to kill her self Here is example of some of the texts.

"I'm loud. Too loud. I'm an awful person. I'm just always sad. I'm the cause of most things. Me dieing would be the solution for what I have caused".

"Well that's good. Im glad he recoverd. But I haven't . I attempted and still haven't recoverd. You don't understand. I've had this plain forever. It's gonna ******* happen."

So I was concerned so I called the cops and have them send an officer to her house because I thought she was actually going to kill her self or try something. But well they were sending a officer she ask me If I said anything to anyone and that's when I said "no I won't tell anyone unless you want me to" But I lied because I already talked to the PD and was having them trying to track down where she lived. Now she is really mad at me and won't talk to me anymore (she didn't get arrested or anything like that) Did I do the right thing or do you think I over reacted to the situation?

Do you think I over reacted or did I do the right thing? Please be honest with me...

Now she wants to hang out do you think she is going to try to fork stab me like they did in Always sunny in philadelphia.

you didn't over react.. if she was bluffing she just learned not to, the hard way. if anything you helped her out, and that part at the bottom is funny, I guess.. I never liked always sunny in Philadelphia, felt a little corny to me.. but if she does anything less than thank you there's something wrong her (other than the fact that she wants to kill herself ((even Though like 70% of girls have thought about killing themselves at one point or another in their lifetime (mostly in their teens or early 20's)) still I think you did the right thing

It's always better to over react, than to under react :) If you didn't react, ya never know what could've happened

She may hate you now, but in the years down the road when she has a family, kids, husband, she'll appreciate what you did.

Everything needs more lights.

Chances are she'll be mad at you, but I'm sure you would rather have that happen than attend her funeral.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

I had something similar to this with a girl in Alberta, she said she was going to slit her wrists if I didn't stay with her, so I explained the right way to do it without wanting attention 7 told her to let me know how it went, she text me a couple days later & all I got was "you're fucking asshole, I was gonna do it" haven't spoke to her since.

In all fairness, that's when you walk away from that, or deal with it.

thats good also how bad do you want that  toaster if you want it that bad you can give me 2 tickets right now if you want lol

Better safe than sorry. I had this same thing happen to me actually. Back when people used AOL Instant Messenger, a girl I knew had an away message that said "Taking every pill in this house." She had depression issues and "cut" before. I immediately called the police and a state trooper went over, found her unconscious on the floor. Trooper called me back and said he couldn't give me too many details, but they managed to keep her alive, and had her drink a charcoal mix to get the stuff out of her stomach. I don't like sounding pompous but, I'm pretty sure I saved her life. She wasn't upset with me but she didn't exactly thank me profusely either. But I cared about her, and that's why I called. Others may have ignored it but I cared enough to be the first one to call 911 and get her help.

You showed that you cared enough to ensure her safety at all costs, even at the risk of her being upset with you. That's love (even if it's for a friend). If she can't appreciate that, well that's her loss. You can find better friends if so. Glad everything turned out alright for you.
