daaaammmnnn how high poly is that car?? or did you edit casey's watchguard.. should be about 4.5Mb? 4.8?

4.72mb lol. Thing works like a charm though, i didnt have nearly as many problems with this as i did with my Charger, everything works flawlessly now though after much time of fixing. Any tips on how to lower poly count without removing a buncha things feel free to let me know haha.

yeah unfortunately I never found a way to lower poly count. I just usually use different systems.. casey makes really good equipment but its pretty high poly so I tend to just stick with BxBugs Equipment unless I make my own stuff. and you may be able to run a 4.7MB car but someone with a low end PC wont be able to play with that car in their game without serious texture loss.. im assuming you're gonna release it since you made a topic its a nice looking car I like the way everything's placed the only thing I would do is see if you could make the rambar lights look a little more realistic.. other than that its great. (and the poly count of course)

Thanks! Im not sure on a release yet, and i totally forgot about the difference between PCs. I have a very powerful one so i totally forgot how it would be for people that dont. I had the stalker dual on this car but that was 70,000 polys alone so i switched it. And the car is based off of a real car and thats exactly how the grill lights are.

Some of that interior stuff needs to be re-sized, a lot of stuff is just modeled and isn't necessarily the right size. And that box for the ALPRs that you have in the middle of the dash would usually go in the trunk. If you want it on the dash thats fine of course but thats just my suggestion to move it. 4.7MB is a little on the high side but not unusual for Bugs CVPI with a lot of parts. Yes some people won't be able to use it and they will complain but you can't please everyone. If you start making lower quality cars then the people who prefer the higher poly better quality cars wont use it so its really a matter of what you want to do. Otherwise you'll end up making 5 different versions of one car just to try and please everyone which isn't worth it. I usually just make the cars how I want them for myself and my game and if people can use them then thats great but I can't help it if someones system isn't powerful enough to run it.

Is it possible to optimize Bugs CVPI and lower the poyl count? Yes, I did it, but its a lot of tedious work and the size difference really isn't that huge. You can maybe shave 1MB off with a lot of work done to the L1's because the default L1s are basically just copies of the L0s and you don't need all that detail in the L1's. So you can remove certain parts of the L1s at your discretion.

Thanks man i appriciate the tips, i will move it to the trunk because i wasnt really thinking of keeping it on the dash i wasnt sure how i felt about it. Yeah i was gonna say i really didnt add much to the CVPI and it was already at sort of a high poly count. Your right you cant please everyone so why not just please yourself and if they want it different they can make their own? right? haha. And yeah it sound tedious ill just leave it the way it is cause it runs in my game completely fine. Im still new to the modding scene but im still pretty happy with my work and the amount ive learned from teaching myself, havent asked a single person for help.

 

I took your advice and moved the ALPR box to the trunk and re-sized some stuff, much better i think. Thoughts?

Great job! I like it! It is very high poly, On future models you could try using deco's CVPI, it is VERY Low poly. At first I didn't think Id like it but I tried it out and it's REALLY nice!

is it staying red blue or is it going to be all red, 
if its staying red blue, I would add more blue lights and you wnat my watchgaurd 4RE is less then 500KB's
