A standalone game for LCPDFR

I have yet to see anything official talking about anything for GTA V and the PC so I think that petition is largely pointless. Unless of course Rockstar has announced it in the past day or 2 then I retract that statement.

Personally I would like to see what we have improved upon, maybe some files rewritten to make it more stable and of course more mods but stability is the biggest thing. I know however what a tall order that alone is.

I meant the game in general.

Unfortunately there isn't a big enough buyers market for realistic to semi-realistic law enforcement games, a lot of people just don't like the idea of playing as a cop.

Go on Youtube and there are tons of people that would buy this, though I think some may very well be in a sense, retarded.. however I think that an exaggerated Policing game that is free roam would be pretty beneficial, there are TONS of games that don't sell.

^That. All large companies have mostly one goal. Make money. And lots of it. If they make a police game, they need to make sure it's profitable. L.A Noire was profitable, so it's not impossible we'll see a number 2 in that series but the bottom line is, it won't make them any money. LCPDFR is the largest policing community on the net (AFAIK) but we are quite outnumbered. Almost everyone on this site would buy a police-based game without thinking (too much), but that would still not be enough.

Also, the most popular game "type" right now seems to be space based games. Lots of space....

From what I've heard L.A Noire really wasn't that good, R* should take into consideration what the people in the policing community would want & release a bunch of Add-on/DLC's for the game, they'd make their money.

Ultrakiller,   Do you really think that a huge gaming company that makes billions of dollars (excluding Rockstar because their really the only one I see that would try this, I am pretty sure they ha

That's true, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon. Developers want a strong selling market in which they know their game will sell and make back the money spent on developing it. There really isn't a big enough demand for policing games for a company to pour money into since there is a high risk of going negative or even bankrupt. As I said before, people don't want to play as a cop, they'd rather shoot them.

You make a good point however, Gaming Companies take that chance of going bankrupt after every game, look at how many people even roleplay as cops, even in GTAV it's kind of sad really, they HAVE to know that there is demand for it.

We, police roleplayers, are just a drop in the ocean compared to people who want to play as criminals.

It's funnier to break the law than enforce it for most people.
