Must press ELS buttons very hard to activate the lights

Hello guys,

 

I have a very weird and strange problem here, i dont understand why or how it happened but when i try to activate the ELS lightning system by pressing te J-K-L buttons it doesnt activate as i press it. Sometimes i need to wait 3 seconds till it activates sometimes in 1 second the lights are going on, can anyone help me out of it cause its very annoying

It could be two different scripts (or maybe a game keybinding) are bound to these keys.  Do you have any other mods installed? Or maybe custom GTA keybindings?

i do have other modifications but i have them for a very long time, beside it never happened before while i was using these modifications i dont really know what keybinding means my english is not so very good

It's most likely the Simple Native Trainer. If you are using SNT (Simple Native Trainer) you need to do the following:

1. Open the trainer with F3/F4 (default keys)

2. Go to Options

3. Highlight “Disable / Enable Trainer Keys”

4. Set it to “Disable”

 

or a more permanent solution: 

Go to your GTA IV folder, open trainer.ini, hit CTRL+F, type in KeyBindingsDisabled=0, click on Find Next and replace 0 with 1.

yeah im shure it works fine when im typing @ web browser or msn or anything else but only in the game, its just so weird..

No, if OP does not have the trainer, it probably won't solve the issue. 

 

OP: You need to tell us which mods you installed most recently, because one of those mods are most probably the culprit here.

Do you have an ENB? ENB causes that with my game.

 

If not, try just changing the keys. Sometimes the default keys refuse to work.

No, him installing the trainer won't solve the issue. Disabling the keys in the trainer only disables the keybindings of the trainer, nothing more, nothing less. So not having the trainer installed is fine but installing it won't solve his problem.

 

Like the guy above said, you need to post your mods. If the keyboard works fine outside of the game its a key mapping issue. To explain that - it means that more than one command is mapped to that key. So if J enabled the primary lights you maybe have another mod mapped to J that calls for a tow truck (tow truck is just a example). Chances are its conflicting with another mod

its solved i tryed the game en it didnt show up again all the time in the game till i got the smpa60 crash wich we all get, so i think it was a error or something but its solved by it self now thx for the advice and replys!
