I wish to know is there anyone living in the Riverside,Ca that can meet with me at a Starbucks or somewhere like that to help me set up my GTA IV LCPDFR game, I tried evrything but i just can't get it...PLZ SOMEONE HELP OUT YO BOY!!!

Seems sketchy if you ask me. Reading through the stickes and posts in the forums should be more than enough to get it to work.

Just saying that reading stickes in the forum should be enough. I would not want to meet someone like that, but if someone want to do it; I am not one to stop them. 

I agree with both of yall...I am a pretty out going person and dont see anything wrong with meeting new people and helping someone out, But I also agree with ineseri that there are TONS of tutorials and help related post in the forums to help someone. But heck if someone lived close enough and didnt have anything else to do I wouldnt tell them "Dont go hes a murderer/rapist!!!!!!"

Ever heard of team viewer? Its just like one on one but its a lot safer and doesn't seem as weird. Basically it allows someone to take control of your computer (if you allow it)

Yea I would just say team viewer is your best bet and works great. Its fine if you want to meet in person but your also meeting some random person, granted its in a public place but you never know. They drop something in your coffee and next thing you know your back in their house getting your "hard drive" reformatted. If I was going to meet someone I would only do it with a well known member of the community but that still doesn't mean your 100% safe but I'd feel more comfortable than meeting a person with 5 posts.

I don't see the difference between coming across new people in a public place and meeting someone in a public place. You meet new people every day.

I don't know, I think I have things in the wrong places, I get error with windows right befor the game starts to play then it gose back to my steam page.

On meeting people: Even if I happened to be in Edinburgh and Sam asked to meet me, I'd say "no" and be kinda weirded out. And I actually know Sam's real name, and trust him. After a fair amount of experience meeting people on Facebook before meeting them in real life (like for summer programs), I found that someone's online persona can't give you a guide to their real-life persona. Even if I think I know someone based on Facebook interaction (where there's less incentive to distort, because we're meeting regardless), I find that the first hour with them wipes away everything I knew.

You need to get a hold of someone willing to teamview you and then set up a time for them to try and help you. You should make sure you try all the suggested things in the support forum and run the diagnostic tool to make sure you have everything. The meeting thing isn't that big of deal, dont worry. Were just discussing it among ourselves :)

 

I agree 110% cp702 - people are not the same online in real life (not everyone at least). You can't really "know" a person until you meet them and have that contact in person. Thats just my thoughts on it. People act differently online, I use to play online with a buddy who I was friends with for years prior to us doing online gaming and he was different online than if we were together in person

that's way above my head maybe some1 my comp tech savy will know whats wrong

Everything checks out in the log...

To make sure that you will not receive any errors during the launch of exe files, you need to run them as administrator. You do this by going to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator'. Do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.
