iPhone 5S and 5C

Recommended Posts

I guess it is a domestic company for them, which is why it is cheaper. The Canadian dollar is about the same as the American, yet we still have to pay extra for the same products. Maybe it could be shipping, but I'm pretty sure that's separate.

Maybe so, but I still don't follow why any company would give away an iPhone 4s for free even now its still £200 - £300.

the only thing I can assume is that the user is missing a catch price somewhere.

Like how on the US store it is "from $0" for the phone but you HAVE to buy an unlocked contract which is £300+ otherwise no phone for you.

Yes, the prices are with contracts since you usually need a contract to use the phone...(I know there's other ways, but most people just get contracts).

According to Sprint, the iPhone 5C is $550 without a contract (way overpriced, but I think all phones are overpriced - the Galaxy S4 is $600). Advertised prices in the US for phones are almost always with a phone contract since they expect you to be buying the phone and using the phone through a phone company such as Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile. I think it's pretty much pointless to get a phone for it's actual price without having a phone contract. You can actually get the 5C for free from Sprint, as well as the 4S.

Edit: Wait a second...so you people outside the US pay full price for iPhones? I got the 4S a year and a half ago for only $99...I would never spend $300 on a phone.

Edit 2: Actually the 4S is $450 without a contract....

Well, I have news for everyone about my "amazing" new iPhone 5S. It's a piece of shit. Don't buy it unless you don't enjoy your hands. It over heats to a point beyond usage with very minimal usage. (Under 10 minutes of checking E-mail, internet browsing, ect)

I took my first 5S back to Apple today, which they replaced (With a white phone, instead of a black one. -_-) however, this one is now overheating, and will not even boot. I miss my iPhone 4, tbh.

I heard the 5S is bad because it can break easily, the 5c is plastic... I recommand any nexus (google phones). They have the best retina display....

It's entertaining to me, I have the Smasung Galaxy Nexus, which is 3 or 4 years old. Completely unlocked and moddable beyond comprehension. It's 3 or 4 years old and it still has/had features that iPhones don't have. Plus it was less money. I personally will never buy an iDevice beside maybe an iPod touch, just because I like have my music separate from my phone. But I used Hackintoshes my entire school career up to 9th grade and I hated them. When I was a freshman we upgraded to Win7, and this year, my junior year, we run Win8. I never did like many Apple products, though innovational, not my taste.
