Stupid cops? Did you even watch the fucking video? People like you make me sick. The dog CLEARLY takes a lounge towards the cop to bite him. I am a dog lover myself but even i can see that this was justified, the cops life was in danger and it was him or the dog. Maybe something else could have been done but in this situation it looks like that was the first and only thing that could have been done. Maybe if the stupid fucking owner wasnt so nosy and getting himseld jammed up it wouldnt have happened. I dont understand how anyone can say its the cops fault in this when the dog clearly takes a lounge at him to bite. If he didnt fire and the dog did bite him severly everyones opinions would be different.

and the arrest was not RIGHT ! 

Whilst I don't agree with the actions of the officers for arresting the guy for simply filming a scene, they were right to fire on the dog.

 

If you look closely, you can see the dog lunge towards the officer with the intent to attack him. This happens all the time and most departments (if not all) have a policy to only return aggression if their lives are in immediate danger, a dog that size could easily cause some serious damage to that cop.

 

Although its still painful to see a poor animal suffer pain like it, it was justified in a certain aspect. Here's what happens when an officer doesn't defend against an attacking animal;

A tazer or CS spray isn't going to do much to a pissed off attack dog.

 

Not sure why or how you'd spray a fish, but hey-ho.

I have to agree with Harper. I don't see why they had to arrest him but if I was the officer that was about to get bit, I would've shot the dog to so I think the officer did a really good job!

** Howwever as someone1 who's currently training / in the process /  interviewing with police departments and usually agrees with police actions 99% of the time

 

except this time

 

 the cops here are in the WRONG this time  starting with arresting the guy all the way through they brought this on themselves and should be sent back to training

 

2nd a taser  would have been just as effective as a bullet and yes I've seen it done stops a attack dog in its tracks allowing officers to gain control of the dog

Did you even watch the video? Those dogs are very aggressive, the cop didn't shoot at first then the dog attacked again then he shot. Taser nor pepper spray will only piss the dog off more. Next time before you post try not to make your self look like a total moron. Also by the way they can arrest him because they did tell him to leave and he didn't he just kept filming so that's disorderly conduct. Also how is this GTA 4? Should be more of a random post.

As would 95% of people in the same situation. People could be hard up, fully trained US Navy Seals and still shit a brick when a huge dog comes running at them with its teeth showing.

 

Kudos, the dog wasn't running, but the same principle applies.

Well I am sure if I was in this situation and an angry dog is coming after me because I have his owner in handcuffs and then he lunged at me, I would've shot him to.  

 

Also could you please elaborate on the other ways of handling an angry dog coming to save his owner from your possession?

Right, but he would have had to reach for his taser (if he even had one) and make sure that his shot hit the dog. A dog, if you don't know, is a small, agile and fast animal. The officer missed the first two shots in the video, and was only able to get the dog using the 3rd and 4th shots. WIth a taser, he'd be royally fucked. 

 

And you would panic too if you were in this situation.

From what iv seen a taser rarely works on a dog, it will run away but will come back even more pissed off. They were in the right to arrest him officers told him to walk go away and what did he do? He started filming that is disorderly conduct. 

 

With you saying a taser would of work better, yes it wouldn't of killed the dog. But why take the chance? Its like when people complain about a cop shooting a man that is running at him with a knife. I'm a dog lover, but I know that those dogs are extremely aggressive and have killed many people. (that breed) You can't take chances in police work, if you do your going to get hurt or killed. Tasers don't work like they do in movies, they are slow and if you miss with the first shot, your screwed. If he couldn't hit it with a gun (that weighs the same as a taser) what makes you think he would hit it with a taser on the first attempt?
