Give your partner orders, Equipment in trunk, less agressive officers

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I got some ideas to improve lcpd:fr. Would it be possible to to develop a system for giving orders to your partner, maybe to use his taser, stopping the traffic or move to a position .

My next idea was that you can take (or choose) equipment from your trunk, like a helmet or a M4 for heavy shootouts.

And please, could you make the other cops less agressive, I really hate it when your in a fight  with someone and your partner or other cops firing five million bullets on him.

Those are some good ideas. I wouldn't mind seeing these:)

Also i think in RC3 the officers are less aggressive.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Wasn't the ability to give orders in an old build?

I like the other ideas. Is it easy to do this already by only giving a pistol with SNT and seeing if the other weapons are got through a trunk?

You reminded me how that game worked with the inventory. Though I think an inventory management isn't needed.

However what I wouldn't mind seeing is 4 weapon slots.

Baton
9mm Pistol/Tazer (always equipped)

Heavy 1

Heavy 2

So say you go on duty, you walk out and pick your car, when you hit E, it shows a menu.

Get Weapons

Rearm
Close

Get Weapons would have the weapon names and Heavy 1 or 2 by it

So, I pick M4, Heavy 1 and SMG heavy 2. I'm then locked into those as soon as I leave the station, but if I drive back into a station (any station's parking lot), I can swap out the weapons again.

Is that asking too much or could it be scripted in by somebody already?

I'm not sure. As for the 'giving your partner orders' bit, wouldn't you have to be their Supervisor or something?

Not really, there's no rank structure in LCPDFR so it wouldn't matter.

@OP, the whole aggressiveness of the AI isn't something that can be adjusted easily. It's something the dev's are constantly working on, and is one of their main objectives. If you've played the earlier versions of LCPDFR or PPM for that matter, you'd see that the AI is much improved in comparison to what it was.

I think he was referring to the fact that in real life to give your partner orders would mean that you were their superior.

Yes, and I'm saying that despite this being the case in real life, it wouldn't be relevant in-game since there is no rank structure.

The idea of the partner doing commands or orders you ask is a nice idea, maybe he even drives? or you add some type of timer where he leaves and when it's you're shift or something maybe you have a timer when you need to go to the police station be a cop for so long..? or can call him in to come near you when you need him like calling in for back up or something.. but instead of N.O.O.S.E it's you're actual partner for less serious things.. For the whole weapons thing it be cool to see the police department to have an armory that way you could have like load out's insted like you're saying then maybe use the trunk to like change you're weapons? ^^

The ability to control the force of fellow officers would be good, and it'd go well with the new pursuit tactics options. Just a button that could toggle ignore/arrest only/shoot to kill would be appreciated. Not sure how possible it would be though.

I'm pretty sure that having the AI drive to a waypoint's in at least one mod. The catch is it's a player-placed waypoint, not a mission waypoint (at least that's how the old KITT mod worked, it auto drove to a waypoint you placed....which was actually very, very cool)

Thinking more about it, would it be possible to borrow the taxi system idea too?

You could get away with more by doing that you could just simply be near the car with you're partner issue the command how ever it is made then you're partner can just walk up to the car get in the drivers seat, and alls the player has to to do is set a way point or drive around tell you get Dispached then maybe you're partner can drive to said point ?
