I'll tell unr3al, if he doesn't come here on his own, to check that list and tell you if something is wrong. He is better with computer hardware than me.

Pretty close to what I have. Graphics card is slightly slower than mine, but not too bad. Thats the same CPU I have. If you have the option, I'd switch it out for something newer. The Phenom II architecture is outdated. Try a relatively cheap Core i7 processor if you can swing it cost wise.

SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER (£19)

£19 for a no name CPU cooler? Are they mad?

I'd recommend building it yourself, you could switch the CPU, RAM & Motherboard to something newer, and probably get it at a cheaper cost.

Just to tell you, haha, just because you have an intel processor, you don't have to buy nvidia aswell. Intel and AMD Graphics are perfeclty ompatible, same with AMD and nvidia. If I was you, I'd go with a hexacore, i.e. Intel i7 or AMD Phenom II X6 T1100, though.

Oh!

Well if I was to buy a new pc today, I would go with either the Phenom II X6 T1100 or the Intel i7 2600K, although I would tend to get the Phenom, since it's cheaper. For video cards I'd go with a Zotac GTX 570 AMP! or a comparable AMD(ATI) model, although I don't like AMD videocards that much, they're cheaper than nvidia. RAM would be 8GB DDR3 for me. And probably 2 500 GB HDDs, maybe even 1 60-120GB SSD.

That's the same thing than before. Also, why do you need 3 licenses for kaspersky internet security? lol

Drop Kaspersky, just use the free one from Microsoft.

But yeah, seems like a pretty nice setup. If you're going to be doing some video editing or something like Photoshop alot, I would go with a i7 because of hyper threading.

So drop Kaspersky, aslo some on on OcUK poster this:

cpu cooler? too unleash full power of i5-2500k (k means unlocked cpu), keep everything cool and quiet(er)

recommend hyper 212 plus its about twenty quid. or silver arrow about fifty quid.

also dump the os+hdd bundle? for £10 more you can get 1000GB(1TB) HDD if bought seperately. If you decide to upgrade(add another 500gb) in future it'll cost you £30.

Maybe drop down to xigmatek midgard? or elite 430, save a wee bit, but choose a case you like everyone will like the looks of different things.

Thoughts ?
