I'm not really a "Youtuber" who made a ton of videos, but anyway that's what I have : - Mic headset : Logitech 860 / have also Roland headphones & mic for music working - Video recording : Bandi

What I use:

Blue Snowball Microphone

Dxtory (Recording)

Audacity (Audio Editing)

Sony Vegas 12 (Video Editing)

If you need any help feel free to PM me :)

I love everything about you except the Dxtory part.

I enjoy Dxtory, It offers multiple audio sources and the video seems more stable when using the Lagarith codec, FRAPS is a pain for me haha

Well I don't see the benefit in multiple audio channels. I just record game audio and video with fraps and commentary with audacity. If you don't have audacity then there's no need for the recording software to have audio sources. If you don't want to go through audio syncing then I guess multiple channels is good.

What I'm using...you can check the video quality on my channel.

Eh, even though I don't record as much as I wish (waiting to get my new computer), I might as well contribute.

  • Headset/Voice Recording: Blue Microphones Snow Ball microphone/Yeti Microphone.
  • Gameplay Recording: FRAPS full version, exporting to external HD.
  • Editing: Apple's Final Cut Pro X.

You have a snowball and yeti?

Microphone: MXL 990 connected to a Alesis MultiMix 4 preamp (via USB)

Recording: Fraps

Editing: Adobe Premiere.

I record in full HD (1920x1080) or full screen (1920x1200), the video files are gargantuan as a result, my premiere project is set up to run in full HD while I render in 720p.

How can you record in full screen with fraps

Get fraps

Get sony vegas pro, for best editing

Get a clean neat microphone, no need for a good headset, just buy a regular one now

That's it.

The Fractal XL is a massive case, lol.

I have a NZXT Lexa S, only has about 6 HDD slots in it's main bay but you can fit more in the optical drive bay.

Well then I'm pretty sure it's impossible for it to be recording 4:9 considering all it does is capture frames of your screen.
