 I had installed the lcpdfr, how come I couldn't play it? there is only a bunch of files for it.. not the game. im sorry but im actually new with this and I really need your help. :biggrin:

Do you have Grand Theft Auto 4? If not you can't play because LCPDFR uses GTA IV, LCDPFR is just a script addon to the game. But if you do have Grand Theft Auto 4, run it, and when the game is loaded, press Alt+P to start LCPDFR and it will tell yo what to do from there.

Well if there is only a "bunch of files" for it maybe you installed it in a different location. You sure you have the game installed?

If it doesn't work, and you press t 'ALT + P ' it means that you haven't install the LCPD First Response correct.So if you want to work fine follow the steps below and you will get it correct.

  • Download the LCPD First Response.

Link : http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/lcpd-first-response-v095-rc2-f12141

  • After you download it 'Double Click' on '095RC2R2.exe' 'Run' etc and it should tell you if you have some components if you don't have them search on 'Google'

Components :

--> .NET Framework 4:Full Profile [Just download .NET Framework 4]

--> Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable

--> Legitimate copy of GTA IV [if you have GTA 4 it fine.]

--> Games for Windows Live Redistributable 3

  • Then if you have them press 'Next' then if  it hasn't detected your 'GTA IV Folder' press 'Browse' and selecte your GTA IV Folder.
  • Then finish NOW after you done all that in-game press " ALT + P " [ignore the capital letters] and on the map you should have some police sections and you are done.

Can you go to your game directory (ie. C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV), find "ScriptHook.log". Once you have found it, copy everything in it, paste it in this topic (or message me). When you paste it, make sure you paste it in a spoiler.

This might be a stupid question because I am also very new but are you using RC1 or RC2 because i'm not sure but I think RC1 is outdated right? Someone please tell me if i'm wrong, or is RC1 even available anymore?

The latest LCPD:FR released is 0.95 RC2-R2

EDIT: I use RC2. I never knew there was an RC1
