K- for secondaries

J- for primaries

] - for Takedowns

T- for siren (hold it)

Y- for horn

U & I- to change primaries and secondaries

O- to change strobe setting

 

Put ALL contents in main directory, including main ELS folder.

open ELS.ini make sure that the "Status" of the vehicle is "On" (which by default is OFF), if you do this, there should be no reason why it's not working.

WOW not going to be an ass but I got it working but when I was screwing around with ELS my game crashes ''claps'' ''claps''

All the cars in the ELS.INI must have ELS turned ON.

 

Make sure your SNTrainer is disabled.

 

Make sure you have no key mapping conflicts with H,J,KL,O,I,U.

 

Ctrl + M seems to work for me as well as alt + m

Anybody getting significantly lower FPS with ELS 7 installed? I boot up the game and it has a lower number than what i'm normally at. I normally get 30-35, and with ELS 7 i'm at 15-20.

Mine is not working at all. I copied everything as told, turned all "off's" to "on" (without quotes). Everything is up to date, I am using TBoGT. I removed all other mods to remove any double key assignments. I know that Alt+M on V6 is now Ctrl+M on V7 and I have read the whole Read Me document.

yep keys not working for all. should be pretty easy for luxart to see what he changed from v6/5 in terms of key capture

Well, but the problem doesn't lay with Lt.Caine or ELSv7, it lies with you people who fail to install it correctly.

 

There's so many people who got it working and are NOT spamming the forum with support requests. Why can't you guys just go, read the guide and do everything as it is said in there?

As I said, I read the whole PDF and installed and reinstalled multiple times following the PDF exactly. It might not be a problem ELS, but something other than my inability to install ELS properly is causing it not to work. 

 

I am using Windows XP, is that an issue?

Could be. I'm using XP as well and I can't get it to work too. I've contacted NicolaiB about this issue as he was the main tester. Seems like other users are having trouble with this as well. I hope this can be sorted out since I really want to get my hands on this fantastic product.

I am starting to think that XP is the problem as well. Just to confirm, you are not able to get any of the keys to work either, it is like its not even installed?

Indeed. Everything is installed and set up correctly but it doesn't seem to work. For the record, ELS v6 worked just fine on my computer so I'm suspecting as well that it is XP causing the problem. I so hope this can be solved...

I am having the exact same problems and I also run Windows XP.  

I run XP and I don't have a problem.

Other people who are crashing: Do you all use xliveless, or does anyone use dsound? I just tried with xliveless and it worked, but I have suspicions about a reason it might bug with xliveless.

 

No issues with crashing when i removed all other mods which had the same key combinations. I think thats the main issue with mods. Keys interferring with each other.

 

Now only running LCPDFR and ELS, and its working prime.

 

LCPDFR and ELS with Policing script enabled:  Crashes.

LCPDFR and ELS with vdH PoliceHelper:           Crashes less often, but still happens

i cannot will not use dsound! ever! hate it. and it doesn't solve my issues anyway. just kills my saved games.

 

anyway it does work on windows 7 except that my windows 7 has an issue with ASI keys (see thread for info). so that's awesome. can't use els7 on either 7 or xp now.

 

back to 6 i guess.

 

 

Sounds like you should update your ASI Scripthook and DSound with new ones. And try to disable other mods to see if its the keys interferring with ELS.

And Dsound does not kill savegames :) But the trainer and LCPDFR does if you save while playing with mods :)

Could you tell me what ASI loader and scripthook you are using? Also, do you use ENB? 

I know several other users are experiencing issues with ELS and XP. SInce you can get it to work on XP, we should be able to as well. You would help me out tremendously if we could find what is causing the problem.

I have now tried it on a fresh install of GTA 4, in case TBoGT was the problem and it still does not work. The only other thing it could be is that  ELS v7 does not work with Windows XP 32bit.

 

If anyone has any ideas of what the problem is let us know. And if you are using XP 32bit and it is working, what are/did you doing to getting it to work.

I've been getting crashing on startup as well. Tried removing every mod I had apart from LCPDFR, but it continues to crash. I'm on xliveless however, so I wonder if it's just down to the ASI loader. I don't like GFWL so I'd rather not get rid of xliveless, but I might try dsound for the sake of experimentation at the very least.

My Windows 7 must be Magic Edition then, since i have no problems with ASI mods and the OS :)  What document do you mean?

 

 

Oh. Update your .net Framework. Im running MS .net Framework 4.0 and Framework Extended.   Works well on my 64Bit Win7
