I personally don't like Family Guy or American Dad or Futurama. I was never a big fan of any of those shows. I do, however, like South Park because if a news story comes out, their next episode has jokes and stuff about it. It is just more in-your-face and balls to the wall when it comes to its' content, which I like. It is sad to see a show that has been on for so long to be cancelled, but popularity of those shows come and go.

I liked South Park for what it originally was; a show about a bunch of potty mouthed kids having completely unrealistic adventures with little plot structure. I don't mind the political and social commentary messages the show tries to get across every episode now, but the show is no longer the same as it was in the late 90's and early 2000's.

The Simpsons and Family Guy, any other animated shows I really don't care about.

Honestly dude I dunno why nobody's pointing out that two of those things on that list are the same show. Look:

It's all the same crap, over and over again. I like Family Guy and all, but I'm not buying into the rest of those shows.

Family Guy portrays random everyday scenarios and blows them out of proportion due to peter's stupidity which is why I find it funny.

 

American Dad deals with more political issues but still makes them funny and enjoyable to watch. Take the gun control episode for example, Stan tries to convince his daughter that gun's don't kill people, people kill people.

My favorites; South Park and its rude sence of humor. Family Guy/American Dad because they kinda always make a point, the Simpsons because I don't know, and Futurama because of Zoidberg. I gotta say I can't really watch Family Guy with my parents around. They either don't have the same sense of humor, or I have a really odd taste of sense of humor... With them around I watch with a poker face, hoping they'll find it funny.

They all deal with political issues and every day scenarios. Kinda ties into the South Park episode: "The Simpsons Already Did It". That shows been out as long as I've been alive. Kinda the same thing with Seinfeld too. Honestly all of these shows are becoming the same thing. The thing that made Futurama different for me was the setting and the characters. They set the writers up to make episodes that are fresh and can cover different topics because of the future being unknown to us, and therefore can take liberties in showing what is possible.

Getting back to the topic of Futurama though, I'm going to miss it if it goes. Hopefully we'll get a couple more DVD's out of them if they don't get picked up by another network.
