Graphics problem

Featured Replies

Hi, After a while of playing with this mod anywhere from 3 minutes to 20 minutes the roads and buildings start disappearing,

I have read former posts and they call said its ELS car mods, but i don't use car mods, everything model and texture wise is in its

original state, this didn't start happening untill i installed the mod, been playing the game for months.

OP: Windows vista home basic 32-bit

Processor: Intel Pentium dual 2.20 ghz

Memory: 3054MB Ram

Nvidia geforce GT220

I know my processor is low but i can manage to run the game in low quality perfectly fine.

That used to happen to me... it doesn't happen anymore but i don't remember ... i think it was something of the Visible Distance or something like that.

Mmm... if you can run perfectly the game with no lagg at all then I don't know, because it happened to me before i changed my graphics card to a newer one, then it never happened again

exact same thing happen to me (Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB)

i installed the latest driver and the problem was fixed

I currently have the latest nvidia driver, still have the problem though

Also it happened to me because i was going too fast in the car and the game couldn't load the streets and everything at the speed of the car, so i think you have a processor or RAM problem even if you say you don't...

I've seen the glitch and it still happens to me from time to time. I do not believe it has to do with ELS or car mods, but I can't see the debugger for everything as it happens so I don't know. It probably has to due with your graphics cards inability to dump old textures and load new ones fast enough. You can try fiddling with your settings, and see how much of your graphical memory is being taken up. Your computers stats are terrible, which won't help either. You shouldn't be playing games on that thing. lol

How come i didn't get the problem until i installed the LCPDFR Mod, before i had this mod my textures were fine never disappeared on me until i installed this mod

Yes, I get this problem as well. Strangely, I was playing in GTA IV MP in Team Mafiya Work without LCPDFR and fell through the road into the Subway in Algonquin.

That is even worse than textures not loading, the collisions are not loading!

You are using the WRONG right theme!

Maybe your computer is ovreheating... Opening the side up sticking a fan right up against it and wait 15-20 min. Also some graphic cards have fans on them to keep them cool make sure they are working. Im having the same problems but i know my computer is good enough to handle it but gta wont let it

You should try Gta Iv commandline, you could google it to learn more about it, I think should also download a software call MSI afterburn which allow you to control your GPU fan.

Its just the game. It has to do with the game not being optimized very good at all. I have 12GB of RAM and it still happens to me from time to time. Usually if you just sit in one spot for a while everything will resume as normal. Or reboot the game. I believe its a sort of memory leak.

I also have an i7 970 (6 cores, 12 threads) so Im sure that CPU and RAM have nothing to do with it. VRAM maybe, I only have 320MB. But Im sure its just a problem with the game, not hardware related. (Game on max settings at 1280x1024 uses 18% CPU, 36% RAM, and 390% VRAM on my system. Shows that VRAM is most important to this engine. At that, for max settings to be smooth you would need about 1.2GB of video ram.)

In graphics settings in game. Lower your texture settings. Lower reflections. Turn off all shadows. Reduce view distance and set vehicle density down to around 10. In other words lower your graphic settings. This might ease the load on your pc. Can even try running at a lower resoloution see if that has an effect.

As you can see from other replies, even with a good PC this game has issues.
