I was a bit bored and tired of scripting so I've started new project. It will feature over 60 textures for various departments of  Liberty and Alderney. Some textures will be for only one car, some for two and some for all 3. 

 

REQUESTS ARE OPEN!

Rules:

- pick a car (Cruiser, Merit or Buffalo)

- pick one of neighborhoods (Tudor, North Holland, Hove Beach, etc.)

- if it is in Alderney it will be based on real city/county counterpart (Alderney City = Jersey City, Acter = Newark, etc.)

- if it is in Liberty City choose any Police Dept that you would like to be the base of that texture (provide photos of it)

- reserved neighborhoods: Acter, Alderney City, Suffolk, Colony Island, Northen Gardens

Yeah, that's it. Are you sure you have one with white bar? What is weird OpenIV shows it in desired color but in GTA is always black.

WOW. OK now I HAVE to figure it out :D

That black trim is a bug on Caine's model, and the car on DarthWound's screen is original, stock Rockstar one.

Pure speculation : It seems to be attached to LtCaine's model directly, I think that you have to tweak it with zmodeler.

My above screenshot features Rockstar model, not LtCaine's one, and I don't remember if the bar was white with LtCaine's model.

Sadly the Cruiser has an open model, but not the Merit. Maybe you can reach Lt. Caine and actually get a response hah.

 

Very nice textures, really quality work that I'd come to expect from you and my own work. Well done as always.

 

EDIT: Shouldn't it be just "City of Liberty" and not "City of Liberty City"?

I'll leave it to others. It's just a side project. Hopefully someone will be able to fix window bug and that trim colour. 

 

PS: Yeah it should be "City of Liberty". I made a mistake, but then I thought that it sounds so stupid that I'll leave it. Turns out in Jersey City they don't give a shit:

 

I don't always make 1:1 textures. Sometimes they have to a bit different than original because of various things like for example back pillar in Vapid which is too narrow to put something there. I also try to remake logos to fit in GTA universe filled with jokes. Look closer at Federal Reserve Police and State Park Police logos ;)
