Found this video and I have to say I was pretty impressed by both vehicles. The Caprice is like 10 years older than that Ford Crown Victoria and yet this makes an amazing battle. Really impressed. I love the Caprice and what it's capable of, but the FCV isn't doing bad either.

Well, epic video indeed. Gotta say I ended confused with the video, I prefered the FCV win, though I felt sorry for GM for losing 

 

These guys make some epic videos, I found this one pretty cool!

 

It was obvious the Ford would win. I mean, the Caprice is ten years older! Yet it lost on a neck to neck race. And no wonder it didn't perform in the desert. The tires that guy added were useless. I think the Caprice did very good for an oldy batteling a nowadays Ford Crown Victoria. :)

Saw the video a few days ago; it does sum things up rather well.  The Caprice was unparalleled for its time and even today it continues to keep up.  The Crown Victoria carries on that legacy with the improvements than the 1998+ and 2003+ models brought. 

Alot of older cops I've talked to still consider the Caprice the greatest cop car, it was faster than the CVPI, handled better at speed, and more interior room. Of course thats looking back through rose colored glasses. Give it 10 years and the older cops then will talk about how great the CVPI was because my biggest issue with the new cars are their alot smaller on the inside, and thats a issue I've heard officers complain about.
