should i get this as a tattoo?

Hey brother, here is my train of though:   Wait until you get into a specialized unit before getting a tattoo that specific. For example, Swat, Sniper, Special Ops or whatever it is called in your department/agency.   That is something that is above and beyond special and meaningful in my department.  There are a TON of cops out there, not a ton of specialized unit members.  In my neck of the woods a tat like Swat or any of the others is earned and marks you as an elite member!  Kinda like a biker clubs rocker or "colors" on their leather.   After all, Law Enforcement is the largest "Gang" in the world!   Just my 2 cents!

Get it done on your balls, it's hidden enough and nobody would dare look and see if you did undercover work.

- Dr. Phill.

it'll only be hidden until tsa strip searches you at the airport and steals your manhood.

NICE!  That's the best advice yet. Except for the Dr. Phill part...coulda claimed total credit for this one EVI and NO ONE would have ever known any different!

Plus getting tattoo's in Law Enforcement like that may pretty much screw you're chances of going undercover.

Unless you get a job with the RCMP and are going undercover to investigate the OPP. Then, that tattoo might be less of a problem.

Another thing, getting a tattoo will take you away from getting into anything else then patrol if they even hire you.... Can't go under cover, cant join SWAT or anything.. Most departments around me are firing cops because they have tattoos visible or not...

Not necessarily. I know a US Park Police officer who has full sleeve tattoos (so *extremely* visible) and is on the bike unit.

That is very true, that may be the ONLY way to get away with that kind of tattoo lol

lol OPP is more likely to investigate the RCMP

Well Losangeles County Sheriffs, some of the Gang units ive seen with full slevees, and a short slevee uniform. so it depends on the department/ command staff

lol OPP is more likely to investigate the RCMP

All I can say is not likely, they have a specialized Civillian Police Units for that, out here in Nova scotia they have S.I.R.T (Serious Incident Response Team) who investigate the Halifax Regional Police and surrounding N.S PD's like Truro Police, Cape Breton Regional Police, Bridgewater Police, RCMP investigate the RCMP, which is probably why almost everything they do goes unpunished.

I'm not sure how Canada works. *Can* the OPP investigate the RCMP, or are provinces not allowed to interfere with the national government's operations? I know that in the US, the states pretty much can't stop the feds from doing anything, because the federal government enforcing federal law isn't subject to any restrictions at all from state law.

I don't believe so. They have special units like in Toronto (Maybe Ontario as a whole) we have the SIU (Special Investigations Unit), which investigates any crime that has the police involved, like car accidents, or a cop being shot. Not sure how they would investigate other agencies though.

My guess its kind of the same. But getting back on topic

Police departments want to hire police fruits not police nuts, if you get that tattoo you will fall under the nut area.... Same if you drive a "old police car" and what not...

I think I have to disagree with the old police car statement, I don't think anyone who want's to own a Crown Vic is a "Police nut", that's like saying everyone who owns a new Taurus is a cop nut, when almost all police agencies are going to them and I see a lot of people who aren't law enforcement own them, same thing with the charger
