I can assure you that having more likes/higher rep doesn't really matter in terms of being selected for the community team. It's like the way you said; quote from Sam himself: "We only consider people who have an undeniable passion for what we've got going on here, and the people that prove to us they can act maturely and considerately to others.  I always think that the people who love the mod, love the site and love the way its grown over the past few years are the best candidates for the community team as you can always be sure their decisions will be made with the best interest of the site and mod in mind, not their own agendas." I know that the anonymity mattered a lot when there was negative rep, to prevent retaliation. Now that that's gone, I can't see retaliation being as much of an issue.

Yeah, Back when they had that Voodoobie incident, and they got rid of the Negative Rep, we had that for a few minutes. I didn't know you could see the names. Since that is true, I do like this idea.

As said before, just don't worry about it. It's only an ego booster and serves no actual use other than being pointless numbers.

Well, I guess i'm one of the few that digs the REP system.  Essentially the same as others 'Like' system I guess.  I'll be honest, my REP as indicated in my profile does matter to me.  I take it seriously that my posts may be helpful to others and am concerned that I represent myself here as proper and/or helpful.  Call me shallow or whatever.  It really does matter to me that my fellow members 'respect' my thoughts and opinions on the information posted here.   Just my 2 cents.
