Why do the doors on the police car Close and open really fast when ELS is on?

Featured Replies

I've played LCPDFR for a few weeks now, And the doors on with the ELS light's on are getting me annoyed, Maybe the maker of ELS could fix that please!

When you open a police car door when ELS is on, the script takes the car as being damaged and tries to repair it. There is no fix for it, and as Code 3 said above, the creator of ELS Lt.Caine stopped a while ago.

So if there was a way to take off the damage fixer, then the ELS wont make the doors glitchy?

I believe it is hard coded into the asi file, so unfortunately no, unless someone gets permission from the creator, or he does it himself.  But it most likely will not happen.

There is a newer version made by another guy, but it is similar to R*'s lights, so ELS is still the most realistic...

It's not hardcoded into ELS as a damage fixer. The actual reason is that ELS works by adding and removing extra components (just like how convertible roofs are removable), and GTA handles changes to extras by resetting the model entirely.

No because ELS redraws the car, not because it fixes it!

The fix occurs because the car is redrawn from new. Any damage in game is overwritten by the base model of the car whenever ELS lights change state

The doors clip back and forth because the car is redrawn. Like the animation of door open takes place but els redraws the car in stock form so doors are constantly being shown as closed.

Amazing people still dont know this but have so many theories

so just to round up it is basicly els's hard coded script saying it is damaged and the car is then redrawn missing the animation of the door opening.

simples.

no

to sum it up its the game redrawing the car every time a new set of extras are setup, and with the els(RMC is lying and has nothing to show) car models use extra's so everytime a new set of extra's are used to make the lights flash the car is redrawn
