For some reason my els crashes while ingame, dont know what to do

i reinstalled els and Scripthook, but still same error,

 

Smhw this started happening since i installed NVE, do u guys have any Solution ?

Hey so I just recently added NVE again and I’ve also had the same issue, I’ve removed and Reinstalled basically all plugins/scripts that use a asi. FOR ME, I had to remove everything that came with the reshad folder, not sure if the asi provided in there for the menu clashes with els/trainer. I believe having the ins menu does something with els and trainer asi’s.

Hey steelie. Thankyou for this information. I was convinced that this issue was down to the dxgi.asi that comes with the nve reshade download was the cause of thus issue. Is that the one you mean? Would you mind saying or showing the files that you have removed please and does reshade still work correctly with the changes that you have made. (Does the ingame menu work?) Thankyou 👍

I know the feeling. I asked again today about this and the response was "not interested". I will try again with your new information. Just to check the dxgi.asi file (main directory) is still within your game? This would mean that I was wrong about that file being the reason and the error is with the reshade folder instead. Yes its very annoying. I removed the Reshade.ini, NVE.ini, reshade-shaders, and dxgi.asi. I haven't gone one by one and tested, just removed those all at once and haven't had the error occur again. I think your right, it is possible it's the dxgi. I'm unable to use the menu in game but it's not a huge deal to me, since I mainly care about the weather and time and can do that through simple trainer.

Hey, thankyou Steelie. I had my Suspicions that the dgxi file was the fault. It backs my theory up with you also confirming it. I have posted a message on the nve discord regarding this. Thankyou

Thanks for confirming this, I will reinstall NVE in the morning and remove that from the folder

I removed the dxgi from the folder and it didn’t really work, do I have to remove NVE and that or just the dxgi. I’m still experiencing the issue 

For me and several others the dxgi.asi file provided within the reshade folder clashed with ELS, and other Asi's. Once removed no errors occurred considering everything else is installed correctly. Razed patreon released a new updated NVE on the 10 OCT correcting said issues. You could start there by re downloading latest NVE.

I do not believe the issue was fixed on the October 10th NVE release.  From my understanding the only issue that was fixed was the new custom weathers. Even after the very latest release, still same issues with ELS.asi and after that further down the line, it is trainerv.asi,  then openallinteriors.asi.  I am truly amazed by the lack of people that use NVE with Reshade and have ELS installed on the NVE discord.  I think all 3 people that posted about it including myself are in this very thread 😆

I will take out the Reshade from the main game folder and see if it also helps.  I will come back and post my findings and not do a drive by post and leave everyone hanging.

Hey Benzo. Thankyou for your input regarding this ongoing asi crashing issue. So you yourself have also been experiencing this issue for around 6weeks now? Having the reshade folders in the main directory is fine, it is just that dxgi.asi file. I tried to raise my concerns with nve with this, which took a very long time. Razed has said that the dxgi file that comes with nve has not been edited by him. 

So i contacted the Reshade.me discord help, they advised to change the file name to "d3d12.dll", which i did, but the crashes remained. There may be someone, on that discord that has the answer, but as of yet, the quest for the fix, is still on going.

Actually I have only started having these issues since the beginning of October.  More than likely it had a lot to do with the fact I was on a older version of GTA 5 and an older version of Reshade for the past 4 months.  Decided to give the new Volumetric clouds a go to fix the annoying flickering with ELS.  Updated my game to 2944 (yep lol) updated NVE and Reshade and then the crashes started happening.   So I started 100% fresh again and put a few tutorials up, why not right?  Then BAM update literally hits the day after I do the tutorials making them fucking useless with everyone and their dog complaining ...... 😭  Your Script Hook video is clickbait Waaaaah, even though It was live the day before the update hit and I had no idea.    Sorry, I digress.

 

Updated Game, Now .... needed updated NVE,  updated and now the crashing starts.   

I have taken out NVE and Reshade for now.   Not going to mess with all of the visualsettings.dat files for NVE as they appear to be off quit a bit since I have no Reshade menu to correct them and I am lazy.   Once things get updated properly, I will switch back. But just tired of the countless hours of non productivity and the non answers from the authors.  Doesn't look like they will address this issue anytime soon.

Hey. I genuinely appreciate your Involvement in this issue and with the foundation that you have as a main lspdfr creator I figured a answer would be found quite sharpish. However as you know this has definitely proven to not be the case. Is it a nve issue or Reshade.me, that is the question? I will most likely do the same as yourself, as I've had to put a stop to video's for nearly a month now. Any information I find, I will update here ASAP. Thankyou 👍

I will update as well when I know something.  I am sure my video about NVE that I uploaded (The Day Before the GTA update)  great timing eh?   Viewers will have non stop issues with crashing etc.  Probably will not answer those as I would just repeat myself and not going to pin any info, since I do not know what is causing it and no one reads those anyways. 

To answer your question "Is it a nve issue or Reshade"  good question.  I am going to assume it may be a combination of both.  Certain aspects are needed from Reshade to get the FX like Volumetric clouds,  without it, will not work as I have tested it.   Reshade may be conflicting due to the FX in the reshaders that eventually cause the issue with the asi.  

I did see this one bit of information in Razed discord,  he crossed through it to show that it had already been completed.  Not sure if it has any impact as to why this started happening.  Attached pic below

Check gta directory for a vfs.dll, remove it if you have it. Install the game config from optional add ons, if you are attempting to play lspdfr then install the compatibility patch too

and install everything in the Reshade Folder
