LSPDFR : The Sync Feature

Featured Replies

- Does the sync feature affect performance at all?

- And, is there any plans to incorporate support for Stop the Ped? Since currently, if you were to frisk someone for example, that wouldn't show up if you are using Stop The Ped.

- Is there a way to customize your characters picture? Instead of just a regular mugshot, can you use a selfie instead?

Not to my knowledge. Didn’t gain/lose any fps while using the sync feature.

I’m guessing not since STP is a third party plugin and not by LSPDFR itself.

Doesn’t look like it. At least I can’t find that option on my characters profile.

No, the sync feature uses very little resources and network IO, and everything it does is in a seperate context from the game so you should not see a decrease in FPS.

There is no API at the moment for developers to use to add custom data to LSPDFR Sync. This isn't a high priority task but we do hope to work on it in the future.  It would be exposed as an API, at that point it would be up to the developer to add support.

You cannot set a custom photo with your LSPDFR Sync character photo. The idea with the character photo is an ID-style photo, taken with the built-in GTA V headshot engine. Taking a selfie of your character (iirc) will trigger it to be retaken and resent. This is useful if you want to change your characters apperance and update the photo.

I didn’t even know that was a thing. Sounds interesting. Going to see how that works once I get a chance actually.

I wish the birth year that is automatically selected for your character could be changed.  I have 2 male characters, one older and the other younger and the birth year for the older looks more like it should be for the younger character and visa versa.  Not a priority but would be nice to change.  I think you said before that there is no way to do that as of now.
