  • I try to make my scripts as light as possible. Some of them like TowingService and METT/Coroner work only when called so they may slow down a bit the game only when you call for them. Scripts working

As I said before. The best way to troubleshoot your game is to uninstall everything except LCPD:FR and then add one thing at a time and see what exactly causes texture loss.

Oh and your pc specs have nothing to do with it. It's usually caused my scripts having memory leaks. Do you reload scripts often when you play? If yes you have to remember that it can cause leaving garbage data in memory that it deleted only when you quit the game or reload it (not only scripts).

GTAIV is prone to memory leaks as well.

I have tried everything you have said and I previously join a clan and they gave me a big car pack and now I'm flossing textures. What should I do ????

If you are using Steam, use the LaunchGTAIV.exe (or LaunchEFLC.exe) instead of the Steam exe.  It runs much smoother and texture loss is small to none.  The Steam client must lag the game out, can't think of anything else that would be the cause, but the difference is very noticable.

I noticed last night when playing via Steam, first time in a year, that the game was so laggy and texture loss/flashing was terrible, it was almost unplayable, and command lines make it worse.  I decided to go back to the LaunchEFLC.exe and it runs at least 10-15fps smoother/better than the GTA.exe and I have no texture loss with a small command line .  I was stunned at how laggy it is via Steam.

Just a heads up.  Can't just be my machine that the LaunchEFLC.exe runs so much better on.

same issue here, worked great, until now.

I no longer have problems with texture loss, but I am willing to help you out. To start, can we see your system specs? You are probably wondering..."Well how did you fix it?" Well, try to keep scripts to a minimal and same goes for graphic and vehicle mods. Like stated before, GTA leaks memory. What you can try is using a commandline. Make a txt document named "commandline" and add this into it.

-norestrictions

-nomemrestrict

-noprecache

-refreshrate 60

This may or may not work, every game acts differently.  Let me know is this helps you at all and don't forget those system specs.
