LSPDFR Crashing at/near Apartments

Featured Replies

Hello,

I think I may have found a bug that is causing LSPDFR to crash to desktop on the current build(8021). I have manage to recreate the crash consistently every time, that includes with no mods installed or other plugins for LSPDFR. I am able to play LSPDFR and go on patrol as my currently selected officer, so long as I avoid returning to her apartment (And the area surrounding it) in Grapeseed.

Switching characters to my officer that lives at 4 Integrity Way causes a crash to desktop when the GTA character swap camera gets to the second close up of their apartment. RagePluginHook works fine in these problem areas when started without LSPDFR being loaded at start up. However, once it is loaded and any character (Both story mode and LSPDFR Characters) go near the apartments. It will crash to desktop.

I have tried a number of solutions to remedy this problem, but it crashes to desktop every time. This includes...

Disabling Preload all models.

Fresh install of LSPDFR build 8021 (manually)

Fresh install of RPH that came with 8021

Updating and reinstalling RagenativeUI 8.2

Removing all plugins

removing all ScripthookV mods

Removing ScripthookV itself

Updating my Drivers

removing all mods and OpenIV related files

Starting RPH in Windowed mode (Which has solved issues like this in the past)

Long story shot. The problem seems to be related to the apartments surrounding areas that causes a crash to desktop.

I am attaching a recent RPH log along (where I loaded RPH with out LSPDFR loading on startup) in the hopes of this post being seen by the devs and maybe they can find a solution. Or hey, maybe I have missed something, I'm not that ruling out.

  • Just an update, @LMS has identified the issue in RAGE Plugin Hook and a fix is being tested and will be released when it's ready.

  • Most likely bundled within LSPDFR. I expect to push the fix later today.

Hello,

In support to this topic, I am also experiencing this exact same crash around my character's apartment in Vinewood Hills, as well as at 4 Integrity Way while exiting the apartment.

This crash can be re-produced by going into the "crash zones" which is anywhere near the apartments.

Even while off-duty, without any mods, extra plugins, scripts, or asi loaders, this crash still happens regardless.

Having this exact issue, but with the apartment in West Vinewood. It certainly has something to do to with the apartment location, because I can select a different apartment in the settings and it won't crash if I go in the vicinity of the West Vinewood apartment. But the moment I enter settings, and arrow over to it, it will instantly crash. Haven't had an issue at 4 Integrity Way, and I haven't tried the other locations yet.

Is there a way to disable the apts/houses?

Check all GTA Online apartments manually via TrainerV or (if you have the exact same in GTA online and you made your game ONLINE safe) visit it Online, but most of you should be able to.

Typo

Supporting is somewhat like locating an issue, then trying to apply a protocol that would eventually guide the subject to fix their game, and sometimes, on rare occasions, trying to diagnose a weird issue with everything you know.

I don't use online Apts.

I don't play online at all

Open TrainerV menu -> Teleproting -> Enable online map, then check all apartments without LSPDFR.

You can also check this via Open All Interiors.

So I spawned in Sandy Shores Drove to Grapeseed.Game crashed approaching Grapeseed. I have repeated this from other locations as well.It crashes  right after the bridge to Grapeseed (well before the apt in  Grapeseed). It only crashes in the area of Grapeseed.

I don't play online at all.

Good catch. I am having the same issue but did not realize it was at certain locations. When I began the game away from the vinewood apartment (instead I began with giving someone a ticket) it did not crash.

I've been trying that one myself, switching my starting location to the police station instead of the apartment helps to a degree in avoiding Grapeseed crash to desktop. Sadly, I cannot get my other character out of her apartment at 4 Integrity Way. Even when I set my starting location to a station on my sheriff character along with character selection to random, in the off chance I can save my other officer from her apartment, the game always start her in her apartment, dooming her to crash to desktop purgatory, in the meantime.

I have tried starting GTA V first, then loading RPH after the game is running, and I've still had no luck in getting the one character. LSPDFR always starts on the last character I've played without the CTD.

For anyone who crash, you'll have to find a way to check the apartment by visiting those without LSPDFR, e.g. via a trainer (Simple Trainer / MenyooPC / Open All Interiors / Enable All Interiors, etc.) in SP, or in MP. (Any of these plugins above should be able to let you enter apartment via teleporting or an entrance)

If you can get the apartment to work without loading LSPDFR it's an issue with LSPDFR.

ADD: LSPDFR will load DLC maps. Most of the apartments are DLC apartments.

Try reinstalling the game as last resort.

The apartments are only active with LSPDFR. Without it they're just regular buildings.

Well these apartments are actually from GTA Online.
