How did you get that from my comment? I said "just because people disagree, doesn't mean they're stupid", and you took that to be me calling you stupid?

That's where you're wrong, i believe everything Obama is doing is right, don't get me wrong, i'm sure he has done things no one agrees with, however, Romney nor any of the Bush family are worth the shit on the bottom of my shoes ( i stepped in dog shit today) people say the Obama is a war president? that doesn't compare to President Bush Senior or his son, Romney would would rather give to the rich then help the poor or middle class.

Obama has done many great things when i say that i mean to the health care, and the respect that man has for women is just phenomenal, he has my respect.

But you have your opinion and you have yours, but i would like to point out that probably 50% of the people voted against Obama only because he's black.

Healthcare is about to get bad in the US now. My grandparents are flipping out because he is going to devistate their Medicare. He wants our healthcare to turn into a single group. We need to have it the way it is because without our current setup, it will take forever to get into a doctor. However, there is room for improvement so everyone gets treatment but full reform with Obama's idea isnt the way.

The thing that pisses me off completely is everyone says "Obama wants what is best for the middle class" "Romney wants what is best for the upper class"

OBAMA wants to strengthen the middle class by weakening the upper class. Also, if you look at his last four years, he has practically screwed the middle class.

Romney had a plan that would strengthen the economy. In return, the upper and middle and any other class that exists would have been strengthened.

It is a terrible idea to weaken one class in hopes of strengthening another.

And maybe he did commit a "war crime" but not to the extent we know it as. He used military force without congressional approval. While I do not see this as a war crime, it is a criminal act and it has to do with war :D

Wasn't Obamas plan for government funded Health Care? Canada has all government funded healthcare with a few "exceptions" it takes forever to see a doctor but you don't really pay for much, you don't get a big ass bill when you leave.

Romney wanted to cut taxes on upper class people and raise them on middle class people, how does that not screw anybody?

Majority of citizens in the united states have insurance. Plus, costs are not very high with insurance. And it is nearly impossible to see a doctor in Canada within a few days of calling(i know because I have close relatives who live in canada)

Finally, how in the hell does Obama figure the government can completely pay for our healthcare when we are in trillions of dollars of debt?

He has absolutely NO plan to cut debt. His second term plans are going to increase debt!!!! We put up with him for four years, I cannot believe people are so hypnotized by his scripted speeches.

Bottom line is, he is president and that cannot be changed. If he is impeached, Biden will take over and if that happens then God help us all. I would much rather have Obama there than Biden. However, after four years of mistakes and blaming Bush, the nation should have given Romney a chance. I would say the same if Romney had done nothing for four years.

Some cute facts:

Obama has flown air force one using tax payer money for all of his campaigning. he has taken more vacations than any other president and he plays golf like hes a professional golfer. He spends more time on the greens than he does in the oval office.

Finally, even though I do not like Obama one bit, we have like 1.5% job growth right now. And almost every major financial advisor/consultant has said no matter who is president, the economy is going to get better.

I respect your opinions and although I am not American, I feel obliged to reply to your post.

First of all, if you look at the amount of weapons in circulations in the US, you can't blame police forces for upgrading their weaponry. Just look at what the guys in Aurora and Columbine High were carrying. Nonetheless, I wouldn't support the second amendment in its current form if I was an American.

Second, SWAT members carry masks to protect their identity. Their actions have to remain secretive in order to protect them and their families from repercussion.

Third, bills like the NDAA are indeed scary. No man should be held indefinitely and without trial. Unfortunately, that is the world we live in.Terrorism has become the number one priority in both the US and Europe, hence the tight airport security. It must be said however that Europe is loosening its security, for example fluids are no longer prohibited in your personnal luggage. I know since I followed the customs and narcotic teams at the airport of Zaventem (Brussels) during my internship with the Belgian federal police. I can't speak for the USA however since I've never been in an American airport.

Furthermore, I believe that institutions like the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights can play a big role in keeping an eye on the government. Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act won't survive the massive claims of unconstitutionality.

Finally, I understand your concerns but as long as you can fight the police in court, you don't live in a police state. Try talking back to a police officer in Eastern European countires like Georgia or Arabic countries like Morocco.

1. The whole point of the second amendment is defense against a tyrannical government. Each county used to have a single sheriff with a few deputies at most, and when necessary, a sheriff posse composed of non-criminals would be called up for things ranging from suspect hunts to patrolling disaster areas. This is where the heavier arms would come from.

2. And when crimes are committed while wearing those masks, how do victim's of police know who to pick in a line up?

3. Terrorism in the US since 9/11 has almost always had government involvement, usually with giving false materials to make the guy think he had the means to carry out an attack and setting him up with "partners" that were actually FBI or police.

The supreme court won't touch the NDAA because it would give too much publicity to that treasonous bill. The only time I've heard of it mentioned on TV was a single question during the Republican debates.

The fact that you can call the United States a police state and have yet to been thrown into jail, proves that it is not a police state.

However, under HR 347, if you dare criticize any major politician at an event labeled "nationally significant," you get thrown in jail for felony trespassing. When jail is threatened for confronting a politician in their face for their crimes, that is a tyrannical government. Don't claim that it is only tyrannical if they would lock us up for posts on the internet. They know that American's won't take action as long as they can keep bitching on the internet.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Here is a story from an ACTUAL police state, to compare.

My best friend's family is from Ukraine. His father was born in early March, 1953. Understandably, his grandparents were really happy, because they had just had a kid.

Coincidentally, Stalin had died just a couple of days before. The USSR was officially in mourning.

My friend's grandparent's almost got thrown in a prison camp because they were happy just after Stalin died. Let me say that again. They were almost thrown in PRISON for being happy that they HAD A KID. THAT is a tyrannical state. Kansas? Not even close.

In all honesty the people should decide EVERYTHING they want, whether it be from Obama to Romney or Canada's very own Stephen Harper, votes should be made to take place for the bigger bill's that need to be passed, i think it would help everyone sleep at night.

you think me stepping in dog shit is bad? my girlfriend was walking with her friends today and a pigeon shit on her head LMAO

Also, with that, I personally believe the electoral college or whatever its called is stupid. It should be popular vote. PLUS, probably more than half the politicians in washington are dirty so I totally agree we should vote. We dont need a-holes representing us

My point exactly, majority votes should win, but they probably will never implement it cause then they will be having what they're doing to us, done to them, no one want's to be told what to do.

I didnt know that adding 6 TRILLION dollars to the debt was a good thing, or raising the unemployment. Oh and causing millions of people to go on food stamps. Did you also know...he plans to cut ALL benefits to retired military? YAY NO MORE HEALTHCARE FOR MY FAMILY! Let me guess.. Bush's fault?

Really, really good things.

In a recession? Standard Keynesian economic theory does say deficit spending is good in a recession.

Things would continue to be terrible under either of them. The establishment is destroying this country. Unfortunately Gary Johnson only got 1.1% of the vote, so the Libertarian Party won't have a guaranteed place in all 50 state ballots or public funding.

To all the people denying that the US is a police state, have you been to an airport? You get sexually assaulted to prove you're not a terrorist.

Mass security at an airport is an all or nothing measure. Just as you would as a police officer, you need to treat everyone as a potential threat. That state of mind shouldn't be anything new to you as an admirer of police work. If we make judgement calls to let people pass just because they're foreign, female, too young, etc. and don't want to be perceived as bigoted, it would be about just as ineffective as having no security at all.

Isn't a characteristic of a police state a militarized national police force? We have that, with cops being given M4A1s and APCs with LRAD devices mounted on them. Besides that, most SWAT Team officers wear masks over their faces, isn't that being secretive in their actions?

A the phrase police state insinuates that it's being used to suppress the common man's day to day rights such as free speech, freedom of the press, free election, etc. The last major occurance of that behavior on most peoples minds is Nazi Germany. That was a far different type of Germany than the one that exists to day, never mind comparing it to America. It's a shame the word 'nazi' gets thrown around so much today, as it detracts from the severity of the meaning to those who lived through REAL oppression.

The reason why people deny that the "land of the free and home of the brave" is a police state, granted not as bad as East Germany but getting there, is because the media refuses to talk about bills like HR 347, the Patriot Act and section 1021 of the NDAA. It should be added that bills like the NDAA only exist in two other countries: North Korea and China (which didn't pass their bill until after we did and you can only be held 6 months there compared to being held indefinitely here). Don't tell me those two countries are bastions of freedom.

We allowed those bills to pass and we're allowing them to stay. If they interfered with our lives enough we could revoke them through popular vote. That's how our government works. The common man unfortunately is lazy. They typically do not call their senator or email their state representatives about issues that are important to them. I do. I was not old enough to be able to vote or do anything significant when those bills were going through our government system, and to be honest they aren't affecting my family to the point where we live our lives any differently than we did in the 1990's. You obviously don't watch much political media, if any because there was a large amount of talk about the Patriot Act during its inception, and people on the far left refer to it all the time in the same context you just did. I'll admit I don't watch very much political chatter on TV at all, but apparently I've seen enough to argue the point about the Patriot Act with you.

On topic, to all the Obama supporters, I hope you finally get the change you wanted this time, since it's already 4 years late of what he promised to do.

Nobody will get the change they want in the economy/military/education system/healthcare industry as long as they live. It takes decades for major changes to happen, and will of course span over several presidency's. Many of the things that have gone into effect in the last 4 years have been leftover proposals and bills that had been passed during George W. Bush's tenure. I'm well aware that change takes a long time, and most presidents can't make a big impact on the world stage or even in their own country due to extreme left and right agendas getting in the way of each other. Most Americans aren't, apparently. And when they don't get results quickly, they get angry and they get bitter. I hope some of them become better educated on how our political system works, and understand that the president can't just simply sign a piece of paper and make everything work by himself. The bottom line is that there are many old cranky white men standing in the way of any true change, no matter who's in office. Democrat or Republican. And it most likely will always be that way.
