Who Plays This?

Featured Replies

I see many people on this forum commenting about their time served in the Force, so I was wondering who plays this game? What does everybody do for a living, and why do they find this game interesting?

I'm sorry if this comes off as being a bit nosy, but I really am interested in seeing what type of user base plays this and why they play it. I'd really appreciate it if you commented below!

I'm a typical college student that has always had a keen interest in joining law enforcement.

I'm joining my local force next year and eventually will aim for the Roads Policing Unit

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

I'm 23, was going to college but took some time off for personal reasons. I'm also on track to go into law enforcement. I like to go out, party, video games. I mainly play GTA IV and FSX now but I use to play a ton of COD for PS3. What drew me to this mod? I initially saw a ELS/FR video on youtube a long time ago and was intrigued since I always wanted a mod like this. After further looking I found GPM and then this site and mod. And everything just took off from there, now I'm very active on the site, taught myself how to use zmod and I love making police cars for the community.

GTA4 is open world gameplay, so as obvious, its fit for all (18+) and doesn't matter what job one does, IRL. Since we all go out in the world everyday and IV simulates almost every aspect of it.

I think this is a pretty good topic, I'm a 28yr old LEO post certified from the Midwest in Missouri USA, I work mids as a patrol officer. I was brought onto this forum by playing around one night on youtube, seen some awesome vids of this mod. I have always been an avid gamer growing up throughout highschool, joined LETI= Law Enforcement Training Institute, and obtained a degree in criminal justice, I have been currently employeed for 7 yrs with the department. I enjoy being proactive on the streets and furthermore being able to help people. Being a police officer isn't always about "gunfire" shakes and take downs, its how you approach an individual during a call can make a big difference in how the situation is going to go. I have to say the reason why I play this and stay active on this website is because it is a great stress reliever, and also have alot of fun as an avid gamer and "computer techie" as I might say. Guess im just lucky my fiance allows me to barricade myself in my man cave for hours!!

I guess its my turn...

I've always been a HUGE fan of the GTA series, and when GTA 4 came out I jumped on it right away. I initially got it for my Xbox and I loved it! I always had to try and imagine my character being a cop in GTA because I obviously couldn't mod my Xbox. When I discovered that there was a mod like this for the PC version, I had decided that my current computer wasn't "fit for duty" and sold it to my mother (lol). I got myself a nice computer, got me a PC copy of GTA 4 and have been playing it non stop for the past, month?

I've never really had any huge ambition to become a police officer, although I would like to be involved in some sort of law enforcement. Currently I'm looking for some opportunities with the RCMP, but more with cyber crime and prevention then actual uniformed police work. I still need to get through university though!

Been a largely avid PC gamer since the mid 1990's when I was taught by my grandfather to put together a desktop computer. In the year 1998, I discovered and instantly fell in love with a game called Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit. You could either be an illegal street racer or a cop who chases the exotic super cars down and stops them. I loved the 2nd option far more and played the game endlessly throughout each version. I also took to the modding of cars in the game to put in extra ones not available originally. Christmas 2001; I received a Playstation 2 from my uncle with a copy of Grand Theft Auto III. Once again, i was hooked and played the game a ton. As PC versions of the GTA games came out, I snapped up each one I could, both for a more 'precisely controlled' play experience, and the modded car potential.

One day upon searching for some YouTube videos about GTA IV, I stumbled upon some demonstration videos of LCPD:FR and Police Pursuit Mod. I was attracted especially to the videos on the 'NBGamingVids' channel, and decided to check out the mod for myself. I downloaded it, learned to add in my own cars and skins, became an avid community member, made videos, and swiftly rose to be a LCPD:FR internal tester. My background in video gaming and computer technologies helped qualify me for the spot, and I think it's been a good tester to developer relationship as far as pointing out glitches, pitching suggestions and trading feedback.

My personal occupation is computer sales. I attended college briefly for graphic design, and took a year of computer programming, plus a semester of data-basing. I've done ride along work with a department of my previous home town, have applied for two citizens police academies, and am looking into an Auxiliary department about an hour or so away from where I live now (wish me luck).
