[Request] 1988-1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police Interceptor w/ ELS

Default lights are way better on old lightbars.

I will admit that the default lighting system does appeal to some for the older vehicles, though I think that ELS-H will be a worthy contender as well.  I don't think that the standard lighting system looks as good as it could, not to mention it is limited to only red and blue [if that orange is going to be in there, then ELS-H will be great].  It comes down to personal preference, though I do prefer ELS; there aren't enough ELS Aerodynics [just cj24's caprice and Lt Caine's Crown Victoria come to mind] IMO.

Note how good cj24's ELS-H Caprice looks with its Aerodynic;  - - The lightbar looks fantastic in game and is modeled for the LAPD, so it does have those orange flashers in the back; a non-ELS car just can't stack up to it.  Here are photos of said car from my game with ELS-H;

  • Many more depts. than you think used them, and like FCV96 has said many small or not so known departments used them.

  • Still nothing, I've contacted some more modelers for asking permission to use models before and believe me, they usually don't even answer. There's still hope though;) Btw, didn't see the picture o

  • I'm about 3/4 of the way done with converting the SA version to IV. I'll update this in a bit with some more info!     I still need to set up the collision for the door windows, and i need t

I'm running into a few issues, model is coming along great though.

My biggest time consumer at the moment are a couple of holes in the model. Where the door meets the bodyshell, there is no surface. That means when you open the door, you can see through.. Working on making some surfaces today, coming along great.

I'll contact CJ about getting that lightbar... It's absolutely sexy.

edit:

Taking a closer look at the model, there is a LOT of surfaces that will need to be created to make the model look more complete in game. Opening the hood, the engine will appear to float, there's holes when you open doors. It's quite a mess, but i should be able to clean it up.

I made such lightbar as well, not ELS though. I'm interested in helping Ceril out. Everything for a classic.

Thanks for going through so much trouble to get this model out there, Ceril; we all appreciate your hard work.  Same to you for your offers to help, Compeast! :D - Once the model itself is ironed out, maybe both an ELS-H [cj24's Aerodynic] and a non-ELS [Compeast's Aerodynic] version can be put out?; I personally love ELS and think it looks wonderful but can see why some would rather be without it.

If he's willing to share when it's finished, I am willing to make a lot of versions of this baby.

I need at least an LCPD texture. Anyone else who wants to submit some textures to me, I'll include the three i like most with the .wtd, and the rest in a separate folder in the download.

On a seperate note, KevinDV is going to send me both an ELS and Non-ELS version of the Aerodynic lightbar that CJ24 used on that caprice!

That's incredible news!; glad we could get the best of both worlds.  The template looks great too!

I guess I could do it, I PM you anyway.

If anyone has the capability to make textures that represent everything that classic automobiles have to offer, it's you, Strike. :D. - Perhaps you could base the LCPD/NYPD texture off of the old blue/white design?;

In addition to that, all I really care for is the LAPD-version.  Any other agency is a bonus.

The NYPD blue color, my biggest enemy, I can't never get the perfect blue  :dry: I guess I could give it a try too. About the LAPD texture, I'll do it myself, but later  :wink:

I try to keep them alive and not to fall into oblivion, and well I love them too xD

NYPD Blue, also known as "Grabber Blue"

here's a sample:

Yeah, it's a very tricky color :]

Ford is actually offering a new mustang in this color.

Looking good so far! - Here's some reference photos, though you should probably ignore the logo on the wheel cover; it isn't all that important and a blank one looks better IMO.

How's this as a final result?

edit: fixed the link

I made the center circle just a little bit wider, and it looks a lot better.

I left the most recent version of the model at work, on my thumb drive.

This is obviously just the wheel that i pulled off one of my earlier versions. I'll post a picture of the most recent version with these wheels tomorrow!
