But i don't know this is possible in 2020? I just want to play with few friends+mods(All of them on the lspdfr download page)

 

Yes, it does work, at least on my laptop. I don't know why but it just crash the game when I try to run it on a desktop.

First:

LSPDFR is a single player only modification. It does not work on multiplayer and is not designed for multiplayer.

 

Second:

The only available "online" is FiveM, which requires you connecting to a dedicated server with multiple people.

 

Third:

Don't believe a word that comes out of DoctorGTA. He's the biggest clickbait money grabber on the planet and 90% of the stuff he posts is not factual.

 

Finally:

This is a forum showroom for mods, not a place to request or ask about them. Moving your thread.

That is FivePD. Nothing whatsoever similar to LSPDFR.

To sum it up, here are the definitions:

FivePD: Dealing with actual people that will probably annoy the hell out of you.

LSPDFR: Dealing with AI that definitely will annoy the hell out of you.

I would not want to move away from LSPDFR and like playing single player but sometimes (especially in these crazy times) a game with other real people would be nice sometimes... 

 

I keep looking at FiveM and FivePD but do not have time to fill out an application form, attend an interview and the mandatory training to actually play on one of the servers. I think Jeff and Buggs have their own server and if I had any friends, I'd look into setting up a friends server too... 🙂

Yeah, I believe they have their own server. And, someone correct me if I am wrong, to get a server on either FiveM or FivePD, you have to rent/buy it.

I think it is possible to host yourself but a lot of hassle, things not working, etc. $x a month, you don't have to worry about bandwidth, port forwarding, firewall rules, etc.

Possibly. I'm not sure since I am not big on FiveM/FivePD.

You can easily set up a FiveM/ FivePD server on your machine to play with friends. 

There are multiple guides online, even if you don't even know what a port is. It suits everyone.

 

FivePD is still in development though, but quite far advanced for how short it has been out.

...If only I had some friends...

We used to have multiplayer in LCPDFR for GTA IV it's weird we don't have it for the newer and better version, specially since we can't play the old one anymore because it's broken and noone fixed it.
