GTA 3 FIB Sirens (Quality Fixed!) 1.1

(2 reviews)

Remember the police sirens in GTA 3 we all know and love? Well you're in luck! The siren from GTA 3 is here in GTA 5!

--Important: For those with the rockstar version or non-steam version of GTA 5, you must create a mod folder to avoid having the game to auto-update and remove any mods or changes made to the game's data via OpenIV. For more information on how to create a mod folder successfully, visit openiv.com (http://openiv.com/?p=1132)--

Be sure to download the latest version of OpenIV and run it as administrator. Also be sure to backup your files just in case something wrong happens.

If you have any questions regarding this siren mod please let me know in the comments below. I hope you all like this. =)

I don't own the original GTA 3 sirens nor the GTA 3 siren for GTA 4 mod. I only helped on editing the siren sound for GTA 5 with his permission.

What's New in Version 1.1

Released

- Wail and Yelp were re-tweaked, re-sampled, and more clearer

- Fixed clipping heard on wail and yelp (though clipping sounds are less noticeable)

Video?

As much as I want to upload a gameplay video testing out the sirens in game, my PC isn't powerful enough to record the gameplay without tanking the frame-rates entirely. Plus my PC has some fairly low specs (e.g my processor is a Celeron G1840, GPU is HD 7770 and RAM is 4 GB) although it does run the game decently on normal settings at 900p.

Does this replace the FIB Grangers siren or the regular police siren?

Does it also replaces the FBI Buffalo's siren, too?

The Sheriff's Buffalo SUVs or the FIB Buffalo SUVs?

Just the FIB Buffalo.

Just the FIB Buffalo.

Then the GTA 3 sirens will replace the sirens on the FIB Buffalo (or Granger however you say it).

The FIB Buffalo is the sedan, and the granger is the SUV

Oh I see. My mistake. The FIB Buffalo and the FIB Granger uses the same FIB siren in game. So the GTA 3 sirens replaces them both. ^^

please do for GTA IV!!!!!

But...there's already the GTA 3 siren mod for GTA 4. Look it up on the audio modifications in the GTA 4 downloads section.

I want to say thank you to everyone for dowloading and rating this siren sound mod. Hopefully I'll make some more later this year such as the Code 3 Mastercom or the Federal Signal PA-20 siren for GTA 5. ^_^

I'll try to upload a demo of this siren sound mod soon.

Good news: Despite my fairly low PC specs for the game, recording the gameplay with FRAPS wasn't too bad at all. It didn't even dip the frame rates quite as much as I feared.

Not sure if I understand the Readme correctly.  Do I add the rar files to the folder correct?  Then how to get the folder conents back into the .oac file to import?

No. You extract the audio files from the rar file into the vehicles folder. Do this while you have OpenIV opened before going to editing mode where you import the .oac file.

Gotcha,  I guess what I am asking is and I am probably a noob here.  If I put these in the folder, which I have done.  How does this get put into the .oac file?  Since they are in a folder.  You see what I am saying?   I can import the .oac file as its in the 'download folder' as an example.  I put my rar files in the vehicles folder, but the .oac file is off on its own in the download folder.  I guess what I am asking is how can the folder become one with the .oac file

With the OpenIV actually opened, any modifications done with the vehicles folder with the same name as the .oac, the .oac file will actually be modified as well. The new FIB siren sound audio files that are added into the vehicles folder will carry over to the .oac file
