Cop Holster is an RPH plugin that adds some unique functionality to the police handgun holster. It removes the handgun from the holster if a pistol is a drawn. It also comes with intimidation mode -- a simple feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Cop Holster works with both the player and AI officers.

Requirements
RAGEPluginHook 0.23 or higher.

Installation
Place CopHolster.dll and CopHolster.xml in your Plugins folder.
When ingame, open the RPH console (default F4) and type LoadPlugin CopHolster.dll.

Features

Dynamic holsters for both the player an AI officers.
Animations that automatically play when holstering and unholstering.
Intimidation mode, a feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Toggle with Right Shift Key (keyboard) or Left DPad (controller).
Highly configurable! Turn off animations, change keys, add new ped models for Cop Holster support, you name it.

Questions
Does this come with RDE support?
The RDE Cop Holster config file is in the RDE 3.1 download.

Does this come with EUP support?
Yes. Cop Holster comes with support for EUP 7.5.

How does Cop Holster work?
All ped models in GTA have what are called drawables. They are pieces of clothing or equipment that can vary between instances of that model. Many of the default cop models have two holster drawables. One is empty, and one has a pistol. Cop Holster simply changes between those two drawables depending on if you have your pistol drawn or not to give the illusion that you are taking the pistol out of the holster.

I'm a ped model developer and would like to make my model work with Cop Holster. How would I go about doing that?

@CommanderShepard I believe that one is pretty outdated. Download the latest version at http://ragepluginhook.net/. If you don't want to do that though, I'll upload the older versions of Cop Holster which will likely work with older versions of RPH.

In regard to your question, it should already work on those peds.

Ohh it must be because I'm on 0.22 of RageHook. Didn't think that would affect it haha

I figured it out. You have to open the CopHolster.ini and go to the bottom where it says

[Ped:MP_M_FREEMODE_01]
FuncHolster=False < Change this to True>
FuncIntim=True
FuncIntimMesh=7:8

Working for me now.

Lspd is crashing every time. I reload it and then it's happening again. Everything was stable before the upgrade. Maybe a conflict among plugins. I'll watch it.

is it just lspdfr or is it gta 5? because i had the same problem with police radio and gta 5 it would crash lspdfr because i was not on the correct version of ragehook at that time. It may be that you have a mod that is on a earlier or later version of ragehook than you. Check all your mods that you downloaded to make sure they are on the correct version of ragehook for that script. If not simply downgrade or upgrade your ragehook unless if you want to stay on that version on that plugin. If gta 5 is crashing than delete the plugin folder and test the script one after the other to see if one is crashing you game. If it is than delete it but make sure it isn't blocked by your computer before you delete the script if you really want to keep it.

Nope, no configuring required unless you want to customize it. Just drop it in the Plugins folder and play.

Is there a way to add S_M_Y_blackops_01 holster to this? I have just changed the name and the animation still reaches to the same place of the cops holster can this be changed?

@Matt Whitaker Unfortunately not. There is no animation in the game that reaches to a leg holster.

I think if you are walking around with no weapon in hand then pull out your pistol the officer pulls the pistol out of his holster?

I know you can't pull a taser and a pistol out of the same holster, but is there some way you could make something for the taser? Maybe a separate mod? I'm not sure but I would love it if you could.

If you use the controller like me (Xbox 360) you press left on the D-PAD by default.

Well I use Mouse and Keyboard. And it says nothing on how to use the mod which is incredibly dumb

I agree it should come with a how to but idk for the keyboard. I try to stay away from it because every button does something when you have 10,000 things installed.

Yeah. But for some reason, it says Caps Lock does "intimidation mode" When 1. It should say that it does the animation and 2. The ini file doesnt say caps lock

Try all CTRL caps in different patterns & try shift + caps lock. If anything change it to leftctrl+z

The only key for this by default is CAPS LOCK. everything else happens automatically.

Ummm it's not working for me....it's the basic installation. Dropped it in the plugins section then added LoadPlugin "CopHolster.dll" to startup and it still shows the damn normal animation. STILL doesn't work. I don't understand it!
