That's gonna drive you crazy if you get in a shootout and all the civs bail in the middle of the street and leave their doors open

To prevent that, the chime only applies for the vehicles you've entered.

If it still gets too annoying, you can always disable (and enable) the mod by pressing the end key on your keyboard (or another key, if you've changed the default key in the configuration).

Thanks for the comments so far, I'm glad you like it! :)

Another sweet little extra !

It would be great if you can configure it for specific vehicles. Most older ones don't have a chime.

Found a bug mate; sometimes when ELS(v8) is enabled in LSTG3 is won't turn off. Doesn't do it every time, just some.

I'll take a look at it, thanks!

Nice MOD, Can I get a link to that CVPI you used in the video? I like the double spot lights on it.

Now all we need is a thing where the wheels don't turn back when you leave the car, then I'll be happy with everything.

Very nice! You were quick to fill that request.

I just thought of this. Would it be possible to change the script so you can configure what sound you want to use for each car?

Not all cars have the same chime, so this would be a cool realism feature.

It's not necessary though. It's amazing the way it is. :)

Thanks for your comment! :)

It would be possible, but I'd have to change many things, so if it comes, it might take a while.

But another update will come in the meantime.

Okay, thank you for the reply! :)

It's nothing to worry about though. As I said, it's really amazing the way it is.

I just added a function in version 1.1 to ignore specific vehicles - the chimes won't be played for these vehicles.

(But first they have to be added to the ignore_vehicles option in the configuration file)

I love this mod but most police vehicles have door chimes removed.

Thanks. :)

I forgot to add the "ignore_vehicles" option in the example configuration file, but the function by itself is implemented.

I'll submit a new version with an updated configuration file.

You can disable certain vehicles with the ignore_vehicles option in the configuration file, for example: "ignore_vehicles = police2, noose"

After that, the door chime won't be played for the previously set vehicles (in this case police2 and noose).
