General information:

This is a 2013 Ferrara 100' Aerial Ladder of the Fire Department City of New York (FDNY)

Installation:

1) Use OpenIV to replace the corresponding files within vehicles.img with the .wft and .wtd files provided in this package.

2) Open the vehicles.ide file in your Grand Theft Auto IVcommondata folder, find the lines beginning with the names of the appropriate models, and at the end of those lines add +livery.

Files included:

- firetruk.wtd

- firetruk.wft

- Template

FEATURES:

Ladder Operations instructions:

To raise the ladder up: Open the trunk using the trainer, to raise down the ladder: close the trunk;

to rotate the ladder: Open / close the hood using the trainer ;

Can you actually climb/walk

Wheels are too big, rims are too big compared to the tyre, emergency light set up is not like the real one's, normal light setup is not like that real one (middle parts of the headlight should only be used for wig-wags, it's not on at night; missing amber lights from the top), the ferrara's front is round not squarish, and I believe there are a few tiny paintjob inaccuracies. Other then these I quite like it.

I forgot to mention, that I don't think you are using the emerglights_emis texture, because when I tried to change the red lights to a bit more orangish red, they didn't change, they stayed 255,0,0 red, which looks hideous.

This may be a stupid question, but If i were to call for FDLC Assistance would this thing still put out fires?

the light bar does have some problems.. not matching or missing on the ends.. I love the handle on this though... and I wish a water cannon would

No, the ladder is replacing the water cannon, so when you click nothing will happen.

I was able to change the lights on mine with a little messing around in the other light texture files.
