My guy is really just trying to copy scripts at this point without getting caught.

Similar Copied Script:

Script doesn't look like an exact copy and has different functions too, but he should definitely avoid using those names.

There are obvious things missing like the postal system in their "SimpleHUD v2" script among other things. But yes these names are very deceiving. The main things that caught my eye as the menu UI in both scripts being eerily similar to the actual scripts.

Again as I just mentioned. The Menu UI's, the names... etc. At the very least it's deceiving.

That's not my point... this guy has posted TWO scripts that are eerily similar to other more popular scripts. INCLUDING THE NAMES. Like dawg "SimpleHUD" look it up. Same with this fuel script. I have seen that Menu UI before on a more popular script I am 1000% positive.

Names aren't copyrighted, there are so many other scripts that use the same names. SimpleHUD is such a generic name. The whole "Simple" prefix is very generic. They look nothing alike and different qualities. I mean this mod is most likely fully AI anyways so is it that big of a deal 😃

Pyro did say it was made using AI so that's another thing as well. Honestly the amount of AI crap being published lately is ridiculous. But Pyro said they have something in store for the site, won't say what but it'll hopefully help. As per names, yea names can be the same and be different per script variant. I'm just super skeptical that this is their second mod like this. Would I personally use it? No. I'd prefer SimpleHUD by Venoxity, and SimpleCTRL or the new AGS script by khorio.

It's too easy to spot when they are made with AI now. A big give away is that they are SHVDN scripts ☠️. I am looking forward to seeing sometime of change with all this AI stuff though

Agreed. I honestly miss the good ole' days when scripts were actually being made not using AI and were actually good. Like there's still a few good ones out there. But they're def becoming less frequent.

The problem is, how much AI to allow, how to enforce it, Do they go through every single project that’s uploaded and check for AI. I think AI can be used to help but the problem is everyone has their own definition of what they believe is help versus not.

Guys please be respectful to each other. First off it is most definitely not a copy of anything, I've gone over the code to ensure that.

This file is not malicious and does not violate any guidelines. I checked that before approving it.

A new system is in the works that I think will help, but of course not everyone will be happy. There is only so much we can do, and we are not going to just flat out ban AI mods. If it's used correctly it technically can make mods the work just fine, i'll continue to reject mods that do not function or entirely lie about what they do. This was a problem I had to deal with before AI became mainstream anyway.

As for file names, well "Fuel System" is far to basic for any one author to claim as their own, I mean even on the official side, someone made a plugin called LSPDFR Enhanced, which is separate from LSPDFR Enhanced lol

The conversation has already ended. Please try not to start it up again. Pyro has already warned everyone appropriately and informed us what is what.
