This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

The new era of LSPDFR is here.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

Installation:

Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.

If you don't already have them, download and install these

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

Second!

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

Added to BackupSettings.ini:
- ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
- ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
- PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
  If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

Compulite will never support this likely. The dev abandoned all of their plugins, and it is designed for STP.

This is....... (faints from excitement) found 1 bug, if I can call it a bug. During a traffic stop, when I got the ped out of the vehicle, probably shouldn't have, but as with stop the ped had to stop ped after they left the vehicle, and I did too, and LSPDFR crashed. Also, the plugin is heavy on frames. Other than that, no more issues found.

Hello, when I shoot with a gun, the lspdfr plugin crashes and gives this error. You can find the error in the ragepluginhook log. It gives an error related to panic.

The plugin we have all been waiting for! Love it 8/10

My biggest pain is I miss the Flashlight! I do alot of night patrols and the flashlight is the greatest tool any cop can have. Hopefully soon you guys can integrate that in with the Over the Shoulder hold.

I Patrol with around 10+ agencies so having to manually convert my UB to the new Backup files took a bit but was mostly just switching the Vehicle and Ped positions in the XML. All areas respond with respective agencies and uniforms! Very happy with how this rolled out.

I see alot of people wondering why the Backup spawns so far away and takes a bit..well thats because in IRL, backup + tows + ems or fire takes a couple of minutes to get to you so. It enhances the real experience for those trying to be more immersive. Just change the spawn distances in the backup files :)!

ive tried everything. updated all plugins reinstalled removed STP/UB still crashing upon force duty. if anyone has any ideas would be great.

regarding the flashlight in lspdfr.ini set Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride from true to false, i know you can't angle it but it still looks better.

This error is caused by using plugins that require STP/UB with PR. They are incompatible until the devs update them, uninstall them for time being.

This is done through GrammarPolice by requesting a felony stop. If you dont use GP you can access a similar thing through the backup management menu (Ctrl + B) by default

During pursuit, support teams drive erratically, can't track well, and constantly crash. They drive excessively fast or inappropriately. Similarly, in Code 1, they can't park or park in absurd locations. Finally, I think it would be more convenient for everyone if you made it compatible with Compulite.

One bug I noticed, the small towtruck doesn't come spawned with a hook? It then arrives, but doesn't do anything. Doesn't always happen, but I do remember a few years ago, this issue also existed, albeit with PoliceRadio from Albo. Clean install, no other mods.

It might be good to have a failsafe thing in case it detects that the hook hasn't attached to the car after some minutes, as the tow truck doesn't seem to disappear if I get away from it.

Same here. Would love to see devs in the future make a compatible in-game mdt for those of us with one pc. I noticed compulite still kinda works. You just have to manually search ped name. Address won't match but it at least gives me something to write citations and charges to

This should not even happen unless you have messed with your game files/meta from what I heard

Incredible plugin! Although the mod is a complete gamechanger and a welcome upgrade for two plugins that many of us have been using for SEVERAL years I have two points, that I have to make:

1. I dont know if im the only one but I have the feeling that the police AI became "dumber". It would be great if backup units could park behind your vehicle, after you called them. Also, they crash a lot more frequenlty after being called.

2. Everything works as it should but in my opinion the whole menu setup is pretty boring to look at. I think some more colour would help here. If there is a customisation feature that I missed, ignore what I said 😀

1. They try to park at the side of the road and depending on where you are that can sometimes go not so well (e.g. junctions or turn lanes often cause that)
2. You can theoretically edit the LocalizationSettings.ini and add GTA Color Codes to the menu text

awesome love the extra features including having ped sit on your bumper. however when i call for back up it hardly ever finds me unless i teleport them to me and i do have all mods not compatible not installed so not sure what the issue is. but overall 3 stars will give 5 once things run smoother with stops and back up is figured out.
